I think any hopes of an HT 1/4 scale is either way off in the distance, or they'll have to commit in a much bigger way to that scale. They've been showing off 1/4 scale Vader, Trooper and Fett for well over a year and so far we only have Fett. They've now shown Kylo as well, but still no second pre-order in this scale. While I'll probably primarily stick to the statues in this scale, the Kylo has me intrigued because of the unmasked sculpt. I own the Fett because he's my favorite character, but not sure I'd snag the others. If they went all in on 1/4 scale, I think it would be an interesting alternative to the PF statues (which I generally love).

Yeah I'm pretty afraid they are going to abandon the 1/4th scale for SW :/ I really hope they at least get the trooper out though.

The only way the prices drop are for people not to buy them and I don't see that happening. My boss orders every premium format and doesn't bat an eye at the price. He just got into the hobby and to him $500-$550 is normal pricing.

sure some can do that, but I would suggest that is not the norm for most collectors.

unless SS gives us a tiny edition size, wait for a deal down the road.

What they really need to release in 1/4 scale are the core heroes, to replace the very dated Sideshow PFs. Specifically thinking Han and Luke in Stormtrooper disguise would be killer with great head sculpts and they could re-purpose the armor from the already peeked Stormie. Hotcakes would be envious of these things and how they'd sell...

I can say it's much more than some. While most of us here on forums know how the game goes and are more thrifty, one look on social media when something gets announced and it's clear that there's a lot more people ready to give their money away asap, rather than wait for any deals. "just to be safe".

Well, with this ridiculous price I am officially out of Star Wars PF collecting. It's a shame too because I have just about all of them going all the way back to the SDCC exclusive Luke Skywalker. I'm sure that SS doesn't care that they lost a customer since there are probably two idiots that will pay these prices to take my place.

For now, I will still collect a few DC PF's but I will very soon be done with those also due to ridiculous prices.

sorry to hear dude. I am an "old timer" as well. I am being very picky moving forward and will just wait for deals down the road.

I also was lucky enough to have a lot of non-star wars "grails" which I sell here and there to help offset the costs.

I'm with MYC (I'm really ****ing looking forward to that Starkiller piece btw), PFs are crazy expensive but they look much more impressive than a figure. My sixth scale Darth Vaders are never going to look as impressive as the the new Vader PF.
