I modded my ANH vader down to 13.5" before I sold him. It seemed pretty spot on compared to the other figs. He was 14.5" and that, for me, was way too tall. I was hoping to get him down to about 13.25" but never completed that part. I think this new one looks good but will either need some modding to the current body for height and muscle or just a straight up body swap. I guess we will see next month when he's in hand.

So what is the correct size?

Correct size is 13.5 or 13.75 if I recall correctly.

Vader has always been listed as 202 cm. That equals 13.25" in conversion.

Now before everyone starts saying "but if you compensate for the helmet and..." get a 1/6th calculator online and see for yourself.

Its looking more and more like another KP body switch is going to be in order. Hopefully this rumored new batch actually happens.

I'd like to know more about this. I did the torso swap on my ANH Vader. What is this KP02 body and where can they be found? I saw one on eBay for $120... that's not gonna happen in my house.

I just posted that Prowse himself said he was 6' 9" in costume (could you post links to the 202 CM/79.5" -- I've never seen that). That's 81"/6 = 13.5".

Says he, as in Vader not Prowse, is 6'8".

202cm=79.52in
79.52in=6.62ft
6.75ft=6ft 9in

(1)Subtract 79, the number of whole inches.

79.52 - 79 = .52

(2)Multiply .52 x 16 to get the number of 16th's inches remaining.

.52 x 16 = 8.32

8.32 = the number of 16th's of an inch. This is the numerator of the fraction. Apply the rules for rounding.

8.32 rounds to 8 because .32 is less than .5

Therefore, 79.52in. =(approximately) 79 and 8/16ths inch(es) (You may have to reduce.)

Vader is 79 and 1/2in
78in=6ft 6in
79in=6ft 7in
79.5in= 6ft 7 1/2in
Almost 6'8"

Not saying it's correct but that's what the Star Wars wiki says and it's been printed on Star Wars figures for years.

Oh yeah. Almost forgot.
6ft 8in=80 inches
80 divided by 6=13.33inches

(1)Subtract 13, the number of whole inches.

13.33 - 13 = .33

(2)Multiply .33 x 16 to get the number of 16th's inches remaining.

.33 x 16 = 5.28

5.28 = the number of 16th's of an inch. This is the numerator of the fraction. Apply the rules for rounding.

5.28 rounds to 5 because .28 is less than .5

Therefore, 13.33in. =(approximately) 13 and 5/16ths inch(es) (You may have to reduce.)

So just over 13 1/4 inches. Maybe 13 and 1/3 inches if you can calculate that.

:confused:

:explode:

So even with the KP/Chest mod he is too tall. :lol

:lol What his height with the KP02?

Both KP and chest mod put him at 13.5 if I recall. I can never remember if it was 13.5 or 13.75. Either way was a huge improvement from 14.25

I might buy the KP-02 body just to keep since I keep on changing my mind :cuckoo:.

But looking sooooo forward to this Vader.

:yess:

Me too. :lol

Yeah, no doubt. Now when you say chest mod are you referring to the mid-section Stormie/Vader replacement?

I don't completely understand the whole inches thing (I'm on the metric side of the earth), but my modded KP-02+Hasbro Dome Vader is 33,9cm, that according to online converters are 13.34 inches.
