Sideshow Alien King Maquette

People seem to be doing that for the XM Predator though. I have the same feeling towards that.

The main difference there is that the XM Predator is still a Predator, just wearing different armour etc. It's well established by now that the Yautja have a few visible variations and customise their appearance. This King however is a complete departure to the established canon. I like it for what it is actually, I'm fine with "mythos" stuff. But I'm with the guys above who don't $1k + like it.

This statue looks really REALLY good, if this were $700 I would have been all over it. Hell if this was the Queen I would have been all over it at the full price.

The production piece does look really good. But at that price point, and as the "King' itself lacks the Giger-esque aesthetics, I will never buy this. But that base is seriously awesome.

Do we know if this statue is 100% polystone or, as the case for the Internecivus raptus, it is made of "polystone resin and multiple durometer plastics"?

I agree, it's the mustard tones and overly busy carapace that holds this back

I would never pay that much money for something like this lol. If sideshow do a deal on it maybe but hmmm unlikely. The Queen Alien would have been a better choice. It's a tough one for sure

Same as the Internecivus raptus maybe! as I believe it would be too risky using polystone for the whole of this beast! I don't think that's a bad thing. I believe the main part of the body is polystone the base is polystone also. But the tail and other bits are plastics, good point as I'm not sure this has been touched on!

LOOOVE the base on this piece but really feel their needing to "making something even more bad-ass than the Queen" to be a betrayal of what the creature is all about, what the body horror was about the films and why these films just 'work' so well.

Neat sculpt...but this doesn't find in what "I" like about Aliens.

Hard pass unless they sell the base separately.

Even slightly smaller if you place him next to the cinamaquette Alien. The size could have been bigger for sure!
