Just got the confirmation email from FP.com at 1.50pm that Elvis has indeed left the building, be with me within 10 working days....


Uhhh. Guys? 10 working days? I thought we'd stopped using the three legged mule delivery service in this country.

Oh well, could be here sooner I guess. Pics when he arrives!

Even a 3-legged mule would get there before 10 days. Maybe they switched to that econo-leper delivery service. God forbid his legs and arms fall off, he can grip the package in his teeth and they have the 10-day status for rolling?

Sorry for the "Cheap 'N' Chearful" quality, but I was excited and wanted to get him out of the box!

Only remembered his Pauldron in the last couple LOL!

I can safely say this is the tightest Armoured body I have had - Still not great, but stands up OK - I wouldn't leave him on the shelf without a stand though...

Oh, and the half nekkid guys are going to nick the armour off the Hasbro's to make another couple of half decent kitbashed troops, once I get my Orange Shouldered Sandie (one day) I'll have 7 Sandtroopers!

enough chat, some quickies - I'll do some nice ones tonight when the kids are in bed and the wife has gone late night shopping!

Bah humbug

I just talked to a lovely lady at FP.com and she said they got short handed with stock for the Sandie, they only got 1/4 of the amount they were supposed to get. So im getting none from them, but its not their fault its sideshows. I asked if im safe for the squad leader pre-orders i have and she checked and im number 8 on the list so thats cool, compared to being 120th on the normal sandie rank

I think i'll buy a 1 or more elsewhere as play.com have them set for the 27th now. I hope i get them other 2 tomoz though

From L to R;

Marmit - Lacking in detail, showing it's age. (Nice vacuum pipe at the top though)

Medicom - Hard to fault... but, typically Japanese in that it's a bit too perfect! Look how regular and neat everything is, these things were made by pot smoking hippies! nothing was that accurate.

Sideshow - Yep walks it for me, just needs a bit of weathering, but that's an easy fix.

Hasbro - Let's not go here. (Although, they included the vacuum pipe otherwise only seen on the Marmit which is a nice touch... but really, these are not the packs your looking for, move along, move along).







As I was typing this The sideshow figure backflipped off the desk, fortunately no serious damage this time, but if I ever meet the guy who passed QC on these armoured bodies, I'm gonna show him what a tight joint feels like!!!!!

Got a Hasbro one on the Sandtrooper who's on my Dewback.... Pleanty of distraction there so no one can focus on what a POS it is....

Be careful mate! First day I had mine it was falling off the kitchen counter as I was showing him to my wife and I managed to catch him.... it's been stand city for that ol' boy ever since.

I still think Marmit has the best armor from the waist down.

SSC's got cankles, scrawny thighs, and from that pic looks like he's been neutered. I like SSC from the waist up though.

LOL, Yeah it looks like Sideshow and Hasbro went for the two extremes!

I hate the Sideshow long Skinny legs, they just look daft, just as daft as the short dumpy Medicom

Even with the soft sculpt and lack of ankle articulation, the Marmit holds his own (Unlike the Neutered Sideshow jockey, who can only offer "to carry your bag sir?")
