Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

Not that I can afford to go for this, but if I were, I think I would want the grey suit/red sweater version, irrespective of BP covering this look.

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

I really think that the red sweater and gray jacket has to be the look.

Remember BP did the brown already too.

Can't wait for this.

Yeah, I didn't realize they did the brown suit too till recently:(.
If I go ahead with this then I suppose it'd make the most sense to do the gray jacket/red sweater suit. Anyone interested?

Here's a peek at some more work in progress. I'll have better pics when done:

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

YES put me on the list please. Would also be cool to have a movie accurate badge! Then follow it up with a Scorpio, that pseudo-Joker villain with a sniper rifle. :)

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

Scott, you know I am on board for any Eastwood figure you make!

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

Great job so far , I'll be extremely tempted by this. I'm probably alone but I've always preferred the Dirty Harry movies to Clint's Western stuff.
The ultimate bad *** indeed.

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

Growing up in the SF bay area, Dirty Harry has always had a special place with me. I love how uniquely San Francisco everything is.

Thanks guys for the comments!

I need your guys help.
I'm looking for reference for his S&W Model 29 but I'm finding differences in the grips. Does anyone know which is most screen accurate?

Here is a film used one where the grips are smooth wood but I'm not sure if that's just for display since there is the metal badge on the grip?:

Then there is this one, where there is a notch on the upper grip:

And this one. Having a more rounded upper grip shape:

Anyone know what's what?

Thanks- S.

I want this so bad, but I have no idea how to fit it in my budget :monkey2

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

Looking at this link, then I would say it's the one with the badge, but minus the badge: https://www.nramuseum.org/the-museu...law/dirty-harry's-smith-wesson-44-magnum.aspx

The badge was added when it was presented to John Milius. :)

...But then again, they used several during filming with different barrel lengths, so different grips might be right for different scenes. :lol

Thanks guys-

Right!
So next question is:
Which barrel length is preferred?

8.375"

6.5"

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

I prefer the 6.5" barrel.
I most of the shots on imfdb have Harry with the that length.
The shot of Harry in the Football stadium looks like the 8" barrel.

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

This is great, Scott, you've returned to Clint. Definitely in and looking forward to final pics. Grey suit with red sweater is my choice as well.

Re: [S.Pettersenart] The Inspector WIP

The 6.5" barrel is preferred by me as well.
