Spoiler:Its disappointing that Vegetto didnt even last half the episode, but awesome that Trunks got the finishing blow (with a self-formed spirit bomb?). Zeno appearing next episode means that the damn button got pressed though; we thought that was a joke aswell xD
Spoiler:So all of a sudden the Potara only last for one hour on non Kais Gotta love how the entire fused forever thing was just retconned completely. They retconned the rules in favor of convenience but at least that means that Vegito can always return
I think it's very fitting that Trunks got the kill, he deserved it. The power and how he defeated Zamasu will hopefully be explained in the coming episode. Sucks Vegito didn't last very long but I have a feeling we'll see him again.
Trunks sure does love cutting people in half huh?
Spoiler:Seeing Blue Vegito was AWESOME. Along with learning more about Fusion Zamasu before his inevitable defeat. I'm glad Future Trunks got the kill in a way, he deserved it and it shouldn't have just been Blue Vegito. On the fusion not lasting forever, I guess this makes sense considering that the earrings were made specifically with kais in mind. But that wasn't even an hour And Elder Kai fused with a seemingly non-kai witch, but maybe since he's a Kai that's why it's permanent. Alongside this, perhaps the overwhelming amount of power Blue Vegito generated was enough to cancel out the fusion, similar to SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ3 Gotenks, the former having an astonishing amount of power and the latter's body not being able to handle it (along with no practice/usage to the form) along with powering down to base, losing out on all of Gotenk's power. but prodigy is right, now Vegito can return. I am shocked Fusion Zamasu didn't last longer.
Overall a great episode, and a great climax. I think that was Future Trunk's equivalent of a spirit bomb, perhaps a super spirit sword. I'm surprised it transcended time periods however. I have high hopes for the rest of Super now though, I think we all do.
Spoiler:
It was an okay episode imo. Personally, I'm not feeling the retcon for potara fusion although it does leave the oppurtunity for vegito to appear again. I mean i guess you could chalk it up to supreme kai being one of the younger kais so he's not always fully informed (as seen in the buu saga as well). Also was hoping Trunks would do the same slice and dice that he did on freeza as a throw back haha And the spirit bomb sword energy thing was interesting. It seems like he pulled out the energy sword thing out of nowhere but he did train with supreme kai so it could be something he learned from that time. I would have also preferred if the energy went straight to Trunks instead of gathering into a ball, since he doesnt know how to use a spirit bomb to begin with.
Personally, i think it would have been better if Potara was not retconned and vegito beat the crap out of zamasu but Trunks steps in to take the final blow. Since Zeno is appearing they could have used him to unfuse vegito too, I really want Trunks to go to the next universe tournament but i dont think it's happening
Spoiler:
While I liked that Trunks got the kill, that entire spirit bomb energy sword or whatever that was came completely out of nowhere. They need to explain wtf happened cuz while I can accept certain things blindly in this series, there's a limit.
I really had high hopes for the episode and while it had some solid action, a lot of it was short lived. Also the writing was very wonky and too convenient for the plot. Honestly I think the last episode was a lot better overall. Only really good thing that came out of this was that Vegito may become a recurring character
Spoiler:This was Future Trunks' story. It began and ended that way.
It was great to see Super Saiyan Blue Vegito but, now that they've added the time limit, he can be used in a future story line.
I can't wait for next week's episode. Now that the dust has settled, and the consequences are going to be focused on, ****'s about to go down.
Spoiler:just when I was beginning to like Super, I hate it irreversibly more than ever after that episode. This is not dragonball, it feels like I am watching inyuyasha or one piece. The animation was better in the episode but it is still so much worse then Z. Vegito getting thrusted back on the ground would have left a trail or dust at least in dbz... When Vegito stabs Zamasu while they are talking, its just a still picture for a solid 12 seconds... Trunks magically making a beam sword made no sense... People giving energy without being asked or persuaded... The deus ex machina was much too strong in this episode. No nostalgia even came out when first seeing Vegito. You don't even get a glimpse of seeing his unique fighting style of using his legs mostly. He just throws giant haymaker punches the whole time. It was all done so wrong...
I wish all Dragonball Super episodes had that kind of animation quality! It's like they brought back the same old Dragonball action that made me fall in love with the series in the first place. Extremely fast zipping punches, kicks, gigantic energy beam battles, relentless exchanges of hits, exploding mountains and land, simply non-stop action!
