Rough plans for custom case

I have a friend who said I could use his router with his table and/or his jointer to smooth the edges. I am going to practice with some scrap this weekend and see how it turns out.

Here is the latest on my case that my dx-11 is hanging in. Got started on the base and lighting. Need to build a housing for the LED and hide the wires. Looks much much better in person than this crappy iPhone photo... Also finished my backdrop.

Looking good! I see you took my advice of the single LEDs - you won't be disappointed. There are about a million and one options to creating small housings: heat shrink tubing, straws or other small rigid tubing, pen caps, copper, aluminum or brass pipe, etc.

Covered the wires and light with black felt with a slit cut into it... I think it came out pretty good.
