The man's matte paintings were some of the most impressive ones I've ever seen, especially Bespin. All his concepts were fantastic and gave fans a chance to see different perspectives or versions of their favorite characters.

At 11 years old I went to see Star Wars (10 times).... Because of the art of this amazing talent RM...I became a professional artist.. today I'm 45 and RM's art will always be in my mind's eye... this is truly a sad day, his artwork reached so many people and had a great effect on so many peoples' childhoods.
