Ok, so they're kind of dorky, but does anyone collect these?

I have a few from the Star Wars line they did and today I picked up four of the Hobbit ones from Target. I got Galadriel, Kili, and both versions of Thorin. For $3.99, they're not bad considering you also get a D-clip and large keychain ring (I can always use more of them). Although a full set of 24 plus the other 24 foil variants would be a pain to collect.

As one of the only retail Hobbit merchandise items out there, I had to jump on board.

I'm too completest for such things. My chance of getting a whole set is slim to none so I don't want to start.

Agreed. I bought three more yesterday and all were foil versions. If there was a box breakdown somewhere that indicated a full set could be had, I might go that route.
