Thanks for the info on the Tyrants, all....

Well just finished Zero - it was ok. I do like when a developer tries to add a new element to a game series, and I was ok with the co-op aspect of this game. However, the lack of storage was just kinda odd. Times I would put items down, and due to the camera, couldn't find them visually. So had to use the map as a kind of sonar. LOL. Odd mechanic to the say the least. The incarnation of the queen as the long haired 'dude' that sings was pretty lame and absolutely pointless. I wonder why they felt the need to have her in that form at all?

Graphics and the look were awesome, but the story was pretty felt weak. Before I started this game, I would have guessed that the Spencer mansion itself was gonna play a role in the game. Little did I know. I do like the idea of going to the Umbrella training facility and felt the level desgin was pretty good. Esp compared to Code Veronica X.

Glad I played it. This will not be one I revisit any time soon. Gonna take a RE break to play Gears 4. Once done and I come back, I may play Outbreak next....Thanks everyone for all the comments and help. Enjoy this series quite a bit.....

No problem, it's great to have another fan in the series :hi5: and take that break, believe me with this sort of thing where you play all the games in a series in a row, it wears on you :lol

Yeah if I had to pick one sticking point, it would be the story. I didn't like how the final fight with the Queen was essentially the same as the final fight with Nemesis in the Rail Cannon room.

You may or may not like Outbreak. I find them way more difficult than the standard series (due to the fact I'm not as familiar with all the scenarios since I played them online with people who knew them enough to do all the work for me) and you don't get the true experience of playing with other people.

It's worth trying though. The first scenario in Outbreak 1 is my favorite of that series. Since it's just a straight forward escape scenario at the very start of the outbreak in the city.

Why isn't 'Punching the Boulder' a thing in video game terms? Something so incredibly absurd like 'Jumping the Shark' and 'Nuking the Fridge'? :lol :lol :rotfl I still can't believe this happened

Started RE4 yesterday...for now skipping outbreak but wow! That right control stick really fights you. Instead of a smooth turning ability, its like it moves in sections.....really hard getting used to. That and the FOV is way too close.

One thing I like is when you escort Ashley, you get a really far back view of the two and the field of view is huge.

Yeah I never liked RE4's camera, even though I used the same camera system in RE5. It works, but it's always strange to go back to. The FOV I feel hasn't aged that well, it was really revolutionary at the time, but it can be too close at times. At least with Ashley you get ad increased FOV like Pliss said

What you will not look forward to is Ashley herself. Don't underestimate the Ganados and her, or what counts as them 'escaping' with her.

So after a start/stop, I finally (truly) started RE4. About 5 hours in. Rescued the Dtr, and just survived the cabin 'invasion' part with that smartass guy..........so far, it's one of the stronger stories. I like the change from the standard zombie..........and the rt camera doesn't bug as much as it did at first.

Wish the HD remaster had some decent options on it. It's pretty barebones.

Yeah, I cannot imagine why Capcom would shaft arguably the most critically acclaimed and financially successful game in this franchise. There's so many ports, and most of them were actually pretty good all things considered, so why not give it a proper remaster? RE5 and RE6 got one - RE6, of all things, GOT ONE!

I could totally forgive this if RE4 PS4 had an actual trophy list, but no.

I know some disagree, but RE4 is the last true solid game of the series in all aspects. It went action and that sucks of course, but I think it was done well that it didn't become like one of the films like how the other two sequels did. It has way more horror elements in it than anything after. It's got the typical 80s level action movie plot almost with Leon's cheesy one liners (which I love since he does them without a hint of sarcasm :lol)

It's atmospheric as hell, probably as much as REmake. It's also the longest RE I believe. You can knock RE5 in like half the time. Couldn't say about RE6 since it's multiple scenarios and I haven't played it in years and years.
