I know a lot of folks were dissapointed about Han and Luke not having swappable heads or being able to wear the helmets. I really wasn't one of those folks, but I was out cleaning my garage today and came across a couple of these rubber tip things and had a eureka moment. It took all of about 5 minutes to do both Luke and Han, most of that was finding my Exacto knife.

Here is a shot of the tip next to the Luke/Han helmet:

I cut a cross slit in the tip like so:

I then removed Luke/Han's head and pushed the tip over the ball like so:

Then put the helmet over the tip. It fits perfectly, without damaging the inside of the helmet:

And now I have two Stormies to flank Vader or Stormtrooper Luke and Han whenever I want:

Looks great! Now if I only knew where to get something similar...

Hi All

Thought I'd offer another easy option!

This is what we want - but how to achieve it? Come with me...
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Whatyouwant.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Whatyouwant.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Step 1: Cut a short strip of packing foam 3" x 1" approx
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Step1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Step1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Step 2: Fold in half...
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Step2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Step2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Step 3: Insert into Helmet (Sounds painful but trust me!)
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Step3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Step3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Step 4: Push Ball joint into foam insert.
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Step4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Step4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

And, Ta Da! A no risk, easy to do helmet fix.
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Step5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Step5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Looking good Luke!
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Sideon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Sideon.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

And later down the Eighties Disco, Luke busts out some Electric Boogaloo moves...
<a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/?action=view&current=Electric.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Han%20and%20Luke/Electric.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Very cool ideas, guys! :rock Almost makes me want to get a set, repaint those beautiful sculpts for my ANH Luke and Han and have two glossy troopers to boot.

That foam trick is pretty nice too!

The cool thing about my mod is that it looks like there is an actual head inside...not that you can really see it unless you hold him upside down though:

This'll be great for those of you who want to get the Luke and Han heads repainted! You won't have to sit for months with headless figures on your shelves!!
