It's fantastic IMO, I seem to remember some 'purists' thinking it was shallow/not a good story back when it came out, however as time has passed I think most people acknowledge as a great run. What makes it is Jim Lee's artwork, not only his regular style but also watercolours for flashback scenes.

I have 3 versions of the comic - TPB, the digital version, and the 'Unwrapped' version which is just Lee's fantastic pencils. The recent Huntress Premium Format costume is straight out of this book and his Batman is iconic.

As far as I'm aware no adaptations have been made/are planned

Comic Books!!

Trade paperback, for unwrapped is exactly that I believe, and absolute are special edition hardcover versions - sometimes in a bigger format in a hard slipcover etc.
