I revamped my Superman shelf with a new metal sign and a very nice NECO figure to go a long with my beloved Hot Toys Christopher Reeve.

Oh and hey, I got myself an R5-D4. I have always loved this droid going back to the vintage one that mysteriously disappeared at friend's house back in the third grade.

And here is Sideshow's version compared to the earlier and now much inadequate Medicom. :lol

..........Here is a quick update. So, I have been wanting to raise my detolfs for some time now but haven't pulled the trigger on anything until I saw this great Ikea hack.

20160415_235203.jpg

I bought eight of the Ikea lack end tables at only 7.99 a pop. They are rated for a max weight of 55 pounds, roughly 20 pounds under an empty detolf, however, I one time kept a 20 gallon fish tank (weighing 200 lbs) on one for over five months with no incident. I modified them using a hack from Ikea hacks by drilling holes in the legs of one and the table top of the others and assembling them into a great shelf unit with a dowel and wood glue for reinforcement.

Cool collection :clap
Those Starwars figures on top of your detolfs, where did you get them and who made them?

Thanks for the kind words. I picked those up over the years from various places including my local comic store and online. They are Gentle Giant animated statues in the same character design as the Gendy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series from 2003.

Amazing SW collection!

I just picked up the Black Series Tie Fighter a couple weeks ago. It's awesome!

Of all my collectables these probably have the most sentimental value to me. Years before my family owned a VCR, these records WERE Star Wars to me. Sure, I saw both The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 in the theaters, A New Hope in its 1981 re-release, and of course Jedi in 1983, but, if I wanted to experience Star Wars as a young kid on most days it was from these records. All the music, sound effects, even the narration on these were so amazing. I would spend hours and hours in my room listening to these. I can even remember waking up in the middle of the night and listening to these on low so my parents wouldn't catch me. Beyond vintage Star Wars figures THESE were my young childhood.

..........I had not had my old Koto Anakin displayed for some time. A very fun piece with the obvious anime influences on the face sculpt.

Even with the older Sideshow Bespin Luke, (which I think still looks okay) Yoda's hut still is one of my finest pieces.

I picked up Hoth Han and a probot.

I like this guy a lot. Although, I was a little disappointed with the fact that it is basically plastic For the 249.00 pp I would think they would have incorporated some die-cast into this mold.

After several years I have finally found a fun way to display what I think are otherwise rather dull figures - SS Endor Rebel troopers. I picked up a reptile log and some old Hasbro Ewoks and eureka!

Here a few other pics of old pieces in new places!

20160612_220543.jpg

I found this pair at my local Sideshow retail distributer over the weekend at almost $50.00 under Sideshow's online price per figure and I couldn't walk away.... although I tried! It was a nasty-expensive impulse buy and forced me to cancel one of my other pre-orders, but, I am pretty psyched to have my first new PF figure set in several years.

I added the Man of Steel a few weeks back. Going to the comic store intoxicated is always a bad (or great) idea depending on one's perspective!
