Original Darth Vader costume for sale by Christie's

Well, I didn't say anything about movie characters. I meant pop culture characters in general. I actually agree that Star Wars will probably be recognizable for a long time to come, but it's very difficult to predict how tastes and interests will change.

Wow, it looks so.... Squat. What are they doing, putting a 7 foot tall costume on a 6 FT mannequin or something? The way they have it displayed looks terrible, and I also agree, it looks like ROTJ Vader.

I think Vader is here to stay. It has already been 35 years and he and star wars are stronger and more popular than ever.

Vader will be forgotten when the human race ceases to exist - not sooner.
