You're right. I just went back and read it:

One coming announcement is decidedly Expanded Universe, as this particular character has not yet appeared in any film or television series.

They definitely don't say it will be the next figure, per se.

I too hope Sideshow is forced to retreat from its ridiculous price hikes. Admiral Piett should be a $45-50 figure not $70.

you know.. i wouldn't be shocked really if they do a jar jar before an episode I version of obi..
and charge 120 for him, stating that his long ears and stretchy tongue are great accessories which show they spared no expense!
