You guys are probably shooting yourself in the foot by being honest and transparent about it. Could of listed and sold them without anyone knowing and no **** storm.
They are yours to sell and do with as you please, but to do what you did, say so on a public forum and not expect to get grilled over it? Silly.
Still I respect all you did to get your international orders out, and you took a loss to do so. Maybe just keep some things to yourselves in the future.
Cheers Ave

I'm here to hear you guys out. I will pass on what you say to Arahom. Your all welcome to grill me, as you say it's a forum and I'm not hiding in a hole :)
You have concerns you may always email us direct. But we all have to be adults here, we are a business and here to make money so we can bring you more great sculpts. That's what you want don't you?
Having an Ebay auction is very rare for ARH Inc, right now there is too much going on, and we need to bring our attention to doing NYCC and our new products.
From what feedback so for, majority are arriving safe and this what matters. Next time we and a great sculpt, expect a larger ES.

There is not much to discuss. A waitlist is open and although the terms of the waitlist was not detailed, it is generally expected to be an orderly and fair way to sell any unsold products. To ignore the waitlist at this point and sell the merchandise on ebay, provides the perception that ARH is not interested in its client base and only the immediate revenue generated off of the e-bay sales. Plan and simple; in the long run, its ARH's credibility which is affected.

The damage has already been done, and we have to move forward.
We have 30+ on the wait list with only one Rattle to offer, our credibility was damaged when we miscalculated the demand on this and listened to the client base who wanted to limit the ES.
I think in this case in fact we are "damned if you do, and demand if you don't"
But thank you for your comment, we will consider it the next time we ever open up any kind of wait list, and at this time I don't see us having any more lists on our future products. Looks like too many people missed out on this one and we miscalculate again. Both Arahom and I are sorry for that, and will do better next time. It's been difficult as people don't notice our products at first, or think they will be around longer and later find out its impossible to find.

About any extra profits that you may think we make on one Ebay sale, just to give you an example, for each AUS customers we lost $240 for each package on just shipping out of our own pockets, many dont even realize this has been a very difficult task and a monumental achiemnet to just get the Rattle in the hands of owners.

I will end the auction an relist, so everyone can have a chance to bid this time.

Seriously...what a joke....

stop acting like a little cry baby averone..personally I am really sick of it! Ok so you lost $240 because of your own bad business decisions...so what? get over it mate! That $240 loss is nothing compared to losing customers by acting like a little sook on here on a daily basis.

Now if you choose to try recover those costs at auction of 2 Medusa statues then so be it!! I don't give a stuff myself!!
In the process of doing so you may be losing 30+ potential customers who were on the wait list...now that is another problem for you to deal with also. Long term it might hurt you guys.
I know a few of the guys that were on the wait list and all of them have told me that they won't ever bother buying anything from you again (t put it politely)! If you don't care about your customers then why should they care about you?

I think it was more fair that the first 2 guys on the waitlist should have the Medusa and then in order after.etc..and at the same price it was originally on sale!

What you are doing shows petty desperation and not taking a hit like a man! You don't punish your customers as a result of your poor business decisions, instead you should learn from them and not make the same mistakes in future statues releases! that gets you real respect!

Anyways goodluck with your auction!
Hope it works out for you!

That's $240 x 9 my man just for our dear international buyers! And that's just an example that we are going way beyond anyone would ever do! Please show me a company who likes to loose that kind of money just to honor their word?

:peace

Also, as I said before I'm sorry that they are unable to get a Rattle!
I suggest, in the future everyone all who want one of our newer products to keep in touch. I mean it's not that hard anymore! Im here on a daily bases. We have FB and twitter. There is no excuse anymore to tell me those who want one of our statues should loose out.
In my opinion there are many more who can have a chance at it at least this way on the auction. I think Arahom just had it with people who didn't want to pay after all this time, an auction works best.

I think you know I'm no cry baby! Who is crying here. We are all adults.
There are many guys who are extremely happy with our products and service, just look around and you will see the great pictures and results coming in.
We are dealing with issues as we go and always answer in a timely manner. We learn from the past, and you can see we are one of the most creative companies out there.
The biggest issue is we made this time around, "after" we talked it over with this crowd here, and all of you said to keep it low ES.
Now the same crowd are saying that their buddies didn't have a chance at this great statue!

Yes that's what happens on forums.

Yes sure....
Someday we will have a crew for just shipping.
, a customer service specialist, but till then it's just Arahom and I and you guys. :)

I'm very ok with taking care of our customers we have NOW. If anyone is upset about the wait list I suggest you contact us directly and I will make sure your contacted when our new statues are out.
Our email again:

how about this averone you can send me an invoice for $240 or tell Arahom to do it! you know my email right?

I would rather pay that then listen to your crap about it...

I don't like hearing babies cry all day long

Averone,
First you say we wanted to increase the edition by 50-100 but people didnt want it increased that much. Two things on this. First off your company said limited to 50 and thats it so get your orders in now. So, a lot of customers hurried up and dropped $300 so they wouldnt miss it. Then after the original fifty are sold someone comes on here and says they are still taking orders. So then a argument breaks out on here because people bought it under the pretense that if you dont order now your not going to get one. Which was false. This problem was created by your company. Instead of coming on here and saying we are only going to make 50 you should have had orders open for a certain time frame then that would be it.
Then you take a waitlist and instead of notifying who is at the front you have an extra or whatever you put them on ebay. Lol. Then you justify it by saying its international customer's fault because we took a hit on shipping. Which looking from what you said on $250 a person x9 you will make back and then some on those auctions. Your company's business model should be used in every beginning business classes' as an example on how not to run a business. You didnt research shipping prices and box dimensions. I would think that is your fault for not doing that before you took international orders. Then you say i dont know any business that would take a loss to save face with customers. There is a great example last week. United airlines screwed up on their site and sold tickets for under $10. What did they do? They honored them not whine about loss out of pocket for their own mistake.
Finally in your last comments you say wait for all the great stuff that arh has coming out. With everything that has been done here from making people on the waitlist mad to alienating your international customers good luck selling them. At this rate arh will be out of business from these horrible business decisions.

When you say you'll make 500 ,just make 500 and everyone will be able to get one.If you don't sell and it sits in a warehouse ,you know it will sellout eventually but in a longer time. The problem from what i hear in reading all the differrent posts and threads is ARH studios excpect to sell 500 pieces in 24 hours cause they think their products is the best there is.But even sideshow has to sit on their stuff untill it sell outs.I personaly have most of your ARH statues. But some of us can buy 5 statues all at once.

I've been a supporter of Arh but I do not agree on how the WL was dealt with. Like GP said, a company should learn from it. So Arh lost $2k from shipping Medusa to International buyers. To try to recoup the loss to but the extra Medusa on eBay is very disappointing.

What's more important, fan loyalty or losing customers? It's hard to get customers back after you lost them. If I was Arahom, I would remove the Rattle off eBay (keep the green because it wasnt a WL issue to begin with) and offer it to the WLister.

I really have no issues with raised ES. All companies do it. Just be forth right with your customers. In the long run, you will make it all the $$ back. That is how top companies do it.

All companies make mistakes. Many mistakes the customers never are aware or if we find out are never explained fully. ARH has made mistakes. Some of those mistakes were direct results of trying to be accommodating and communicating before having all facts. So for that I have respect for their attempt to be transparent. All in all I would rather have this than an indefinite "TBD" or "Subject to change". SSC, Bowen, GG... they all do things to maximize profits, they are just more polished it. "Sold out" ... "oh no we have 10 more!"

Criticsm can be constructive, but the tone here is a bit harsh. I fear that the outcome here will drive ARH to be another faceless company. That would be a shame.

Just keep producing statues i want and will BUY and i'm happy.Waiting for the next phase of statues. The real problem was that the es was low you could have made 150 and still be sold out.But
you guy seem to go day by day.Just 3 weeks short for NYCC and you still painting prototypes and still can figure out what price to put on statues (conan dio is an example)

???
That makes no sense at all!
Are you not reading what I'm saying?

We could have said to our int customers sorry can't do it, too bad! We sell it to someone else, but we paid it forward (multiple times over) and are happy we have these customers.
Who's crying? :slap

I have to say Averone you deserve a raise and must have some very thick skin. You take to much heat for decisions your boss is making. Its one thing to give constructive feedback but some guys on here act like you screwed their wife...geez. Its tough running a small business and you can't please everyone. Learn from mistakes and grow. The PCS guy gets blasted all the time about issues as well but he also to his credit addresses them on SF. SS just ignores all of us and keeps on going.

I disagree. IMO, they have one of the best customers service out there.

SS is shady with ES, is doing multiple versions of the same statue, delays items all the time, magically finds more sold out items, offer 25% coupons to new customers, and its random how they deal with flawed statues. I get told they have no replacements, then a guy gets one the next day from a different CS person. They are very nice on the phone though.
