There goes any chance of me getting this figure. This would be the first figure (outside a PF, statue, or Transformer) that I would be willing to pay more than 100 US for, perhaps even 200 US. But 600 US?! No thank you! As nice as it is I can get 2 nice Premium Format pieces with that kind of dough.
I bought my Date Masamune here for $140 shipped:
https://www.goodstufftogo.net/html/catalog1.asp?ID=340
That's the international version. the exclusive Japan Deluxe version comes with more accessories and a backdrop but is essentially the same figure minus the Bow, arrows, sword and Bow stands, armor stand, storage box, flag, and silk backdrop. The only major difference between the two figures is that the head sculpt is different on the Japan Deluxe version.
However, the international version comes with two Heads to chose from.
To give you an idea, here are auctions for the two different sets so you can see the differences in the two, I wouldn't recommend buying from these sellers, it's just to give you an idea:
Here's the Date Masamune Exclusive Japan Deluxe set:

Here's the Date Masamune International set:

To answer your other questions, yes the mustache is real hair (maybe it's synthetic, but I can't tell the difference) and the swords and scabbards are made out of real metal with fabric wrapping around the handles and scabbards.

So if you don't recommend those sellers what would you recommend? I know hardly of this brand, but can say based on the pictures, stories on said pieces posted by fellow posters, and the information given concerning quality in materials and design I definitely want to get my hands on one of these without having to break the piggy bank. Okay, a big honking piggy bank! :)

I'd recommend Good Stuff to Go which was the first link, just not the auctions. The second auction is ABC Express which I've bought from quite often, but he's located in Hong Kong so the shipping would be too costly. These following stores are all located in the US:
https://www.goodstufftogo.net/html/catalog1.asp?ID=340
https://www.monkeydepot.com/index.asp
https://www.thebattlerhino.com/
https://www.redplanettoys.com/
https://www.war-toys.com/
https://www.gijoeelite.com/f_home.asp
I've bought from all these stores except GI Joe Elite Brigade (second link from the bottom).
The owner of Red Planet Toys is a member here, however they are out of Date Masamune Samurai at the moment. You also have to pay though Pay Pal with them.
All but Red Planet Toys and Monkey Depot have Date Masamune in stock. And average about $135-$140. War-Toys has a tendency of higher shipping costs. Try and shop around to find a store that's closest and will cost less to ship.

I got some good news. I asked the guy who's helping me get a replacement DID piece if there will be an International version of the Takeda Shingen Samurai, he imports these DID figures into the US.
He said There will be a International version of Takeda Shingen, the same as Date Masamune. And he estimated that the International Version of Takeda Shingen will be here in the US at the most, two Months from now!
Better start saving your Pennies.

Ditto.

I hope the international version comes with the seat depicted, these figures need them. Shipping can be a killer, but when these arrive, I have to agree, the extra pennies are worth it.

These figures are some of the most amazing I've ever seen. I didn't get in on the Date Masamune because I didn't have the fundage at the time. I really regret it though because the version I really want is the Japanese Exclusive. I love the backdrop and all the bells and whistles. I like Takeda Shingen but it'll all depend on cash again....SSC is really draining me not to mention the HT figures I've just recently bought....why won't that money tree just grow already!?!?!?:monkey2

Because you don't put enough nickle, dime, and quarter seeds to see your tree come into fruition. Silly guy! No worries, mine isn't growing either. Must be from lack of work on my part in caring for it.

The more you work, the more that money tree will grow! Keep pluming away at that change!

Lord Almighty what an amazing figure. This guy is even more impressive than Masamune. That pose works great too, I can't get the Japan version so I might have to find a way to make those seats and get a cool backdrop.

There's no price announced yet unless it's there in Japanese or Chinese (I'm not sure which) in the new link I posted at the top of the first post.
Here's that link again:

Hey guys,

I just checked out the link you posted and didn't see any price there. (It's in Japanese, btw). It looks like the edition size will be 500 pcs., if I read it right.

I must say, this is the best attempt I've seen by any company to reproduce all the detailed lacing on a "yoroi" (Japanese suit of armour) in this scale before! Date Masamune looked interesting, but didn't jazz me like this one does. I think I may just have to snag me one of these! Thanks for posting the good news! :D

I just found a place in the states that has the Japanese exclusive version of Takeda Shingen listed for $449.99! *choke* They apparently managed to secure a few figures. It's a beautiful figure, no doubt about that, but that is awfully expensive for a 1:6 scale figure! I sure hope they're planning to offer an international version of this one!:monkey5

Re: DiD's Takeda Shingen Samurai

Absolutely totally awesome.

There is a thread btw, https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15667
doesn't matter though. Some people may not read that section, and this is some work of art, and there can't be enough pics. :drool

How much did you have to pay and where did you get yours from? As someone in the other section said, "I hope there's an international version", and I'm sure there will be.

Why don't you have Masamune wearing his jacket/vest if I may ask?

Re: DiD's Takeda Shingen Samurai

Didn't see the other thread so mods feel free to delete this one if you need to as I can post in other one...thanks creecher :)

With shipping it was about $470 from a Singapore shipper i've been buying from for the past year or so. I didn't put Date's vest on because you really wouldn't see it clearly from that pose unless he was standing
