Hey , I really want to get a bit more serious with sculpting ,
can anyone tell me what type of clay is good for it ?
The last time I did a sculpt the clay started cracking by th 2nd day .
Im trying to make a bust sculpt for myself .
Thanks !!

Can anyone help me out wit some info ?
Also what types of paints are good for the finished product ?
Thanks !!

It depends on what you want to sculpt, how fast you want to do it, what the final sculpt is going to be used for, etc. There are a lot of materials to choose from, ranging from actual clays (oil and water based), to waxes, castilene, polymer clay (sculpey, fimo, etc.) and epoxy putty. Is this something you ultimately want to mold/cast, or is the sculpt going to be the final product?
