Need help/tips touching up paint app on DC icon man of steel general zod statue

Anyone have tips or example of a touch up on any of the DC direct man of steel 1/6 statues? As many know the paint apps on the faces of these statues kind of suck. The faces look like doll faces. Id like to touch up my zod statues face to make the skin tone look more realistic. Are there any simple things that can be done by a novice like myself?

Well until pictures are shown , no accurate way can be put towards you. As it may need many things to make it look better.

Apologies.... See above, they used a skin toned translucent resin...hence the doll face effect. Looking for some novice tips to make the skin tone on the face look more realistic.
