This is not the Freddy I'm used to, but it's well sculpted.Still Looks like a Freddy impersonator.Maybe the movie will change my views.

When I first seen it I thought this freddy really does look like a burn victim. While the original freddy was maybe more of a stylized version of a burn victim in a sense. Its like they must have done there research on burns from medical books and such. Im kinda up in the air...I too will have to wait for the movie to see if this Freddy will change my mind about the character in general.

Overal the figure is pretty cool.

STUPID ... I will NEVER ENDORSE this figure or film.

They took one of the most identifyable villians in cinematic history and gave him a makeover ... THIS IS A SAD, SAD DAY.

Jason pt. 13 ... he trades his Hockey mask for a Catcher's Mask :rotfl

they made FREDDY LOOK LIKE A FRIGGIN CAT ! ! ! He resembles the GOD AWFUL creatures in the Stephen King film/novel "SLEEPWALKERS"

Eh, to each their own. While I do realize the remake figure looks more like an actual burn victim, I still prefer the old Freddy. If this figure is any reflection of the movie, looks like they've stripped the fun out of it in favor of a straight-up horror flick.

Hmm, now he actually looks like more of a burn victim (Englund's Freddy didn't) which makes sense to me...

NOES has always been my favorite Horror franchise and I'm really looking forward to this movie...

Get your Englund as "FREDDY" collecibles while you can. I'm sure Sideshow, NECA, MEZCO and all other companies are going to flood the market with this remake GARBAGE.

sadly the days of the ENGLUND as "Freddy" are long gone.

i LMAO after looking at the REMAKE figure (above) and scrolling down the the ENGLUND pics i posted.

That' that, and there ain't no coming back :(

people are too used to the same stuff , things have to move on and personally I'm glad this movies being remade. The NOES series should be shown tribute too imo and a remake is a nice way to do that.
I liked all the horror remakes other than Halloween but that has fans too.
Englund is nearly 60 and couldn't carry on a whole new series I'm sure. If you don't like it , the original is still there. :dunno

It's ironic that you mentioned Halloween. Zombie sucked the spirit right out of that "remake/tribute" movie and stripped it of everything the Halloween franchise was. That's why you'll notice it wasn't really embraced as much by Halloween fans and yet, it was revered by the fans of Hostile, Saw and the gore/torture porn genre. Let's hope the same thing doesn't happen here, 'cause it's definitely leaning that direction.

Hm.. your right there. As for the casting though , I think Jackie is perfect.

I still think he's a little small, but shortcomings aside :)p), an actor is limited to the director's "vision." Case in point, Malcolm McDowell is an excellent actor but he blew in Halloween.

Exactly. From the trailer I think he looks great , only time will tell I guess !. Finger knives crossed. :monkey1:gun

:lol

I grew up with Englund Freddy and he will always be my Freddy. I don't mind a remake, but like Leatherface, Jason and Myers remakes, they are never the same spirit as the original, don't regard the events of the original except to rip off some of the scene, and therefor don't matter to my beloved slashers.

This does look more like a real burn victim instead of the melted cheese pizza inspired classic makeup, but to me that actually makes him less Freddy. Englund's makeup may not have looked truly real, but it had way more character than this.
