Not have his crotch articulated in the first place? Name one time in the franchise you see Jason crouching or bent down? It's pretty retarded IMO. Freddy didn't have articulated hips.

We fanboys can be a fickle lot. If they hadnt put that articulation there---someone would've cried about them "cheaping out" on us,lol.
I for one like being able to change up poses if I so choose to instead of being stuck with what someone else's idea of a great pose is, so I'm all for the added articulation...
