Why wouldn't they simply take an existing 3D model of a videogame character's head (for Uncharted, maybe even an 'in game' model might be sufficient), & 3D print that? Instead of trying to capture a likeness, by sculpting from scratch?

It sounds like it's possible, & maybe one of the best ways to get an accurate representation of the character.

So similar, yet I prefer the PF version that much more.

Definitely still not a perfect sculpt but better looking than the recent show pics. Hmm...depending on price (if we know before the PF ships) I may drop to 1/6...just getting tired of always repainting SS sculpts :lol

So it is the paint....hmm, sculpt looks good there, but still off.

Maybe it's the convention lighting messing things up? :dunno

Yea could be the lighting from below not helping it either.

I'm sure Sideshow is banging their heads against the wall that people like the PF sculpt and hate the 1/6 sculpt, despite the fact that they're nearly identical.

Because if everyone does that, the skilled sculptors will run out of work.

Same like artists nowadays can't sell their painting because Photoshop does the job 1000 times faster & better than conventional painters.

Well all I can say now is congrats to Toria Cassaro for making the proto clothes. :)

Looks really good at that angle.

I'm only talking about characters that already have existing 3D models, like videogame characters, or 3D animated characters (like in Pixar movies). I don't think sculptors would run out of work if those were taken off their work table. Still plenty of characters for them to sculpt.

Everybody's making a fuss about the sculpt yet barely anybody complained about the Hot Toys Snake sculpt. Oh well. :dunno

Figures look a gazzilion times better posed next to The Boss. Nobody noticed :lol
