The pose just looks awkward. From the neck, the positioning of the feet, and even the morning star.

Might look better in person but it's not one I'll be getting. And I really wanted a ringwraith in PF form.

The pose is 100% what turned me off of this.

This really would have been incredible in a more straight forward menacing pose. Not a "Twist and Shout" pose...

anyone think the cloak material is a little bulky? would've thought they'd use more layers of a thinner material to get a more 'whispy' feel too it like was done in the costumes for the flicks. at 1/4 scale every detail matters especially when the decision's made to do something atypical in statues by using mixed media, becomes even more important i think.

I quite like this pF, but th epose is a bit awkward.
I really don't see which leg is showing, is this his left or right leg ??

And the Morning Star needs to be bigger !!! It's not accurate ...

Yeah I was wondering what leg it is too. Greatful to be getting him but I sure wish they would change the pose like so many others have said

First impression...

-very awkward looking pose
-small sword
-flail is kinda hidden
-cheap/toyish looking exclusive
-lower body looks beefy while upper body looks smallish

When I first saw the pics last week my initial reaction was overall disappointment. A week later, that feeling still hasn't changed.

I'm really looking forward to some SDCC attendee impressions and pictures.

Major FAIL on what really could have been a desired piece by many. If this was done right they would have had an instant hit.

I am still waiting to see the 360o turnaround quicktime, and more pictures from SDCC coverage. SS has made tweaks in the past, and I think this piece has just a few minor details that can be tweaked (slightly shorter neck, bigger sword) and I am liking the pose from the angle you can see the head of his mace on the ground just behind his foot.
Just my opinion, but try not to give up hope!!

I havent given up hope on this piece yet

i hear ya man, but since i already have the Weta piece i'm not going to get this one unless ssc does some changes.

we all know how that's going to turn out.

I was updating a "Sideshow/Weta" folder with hi-res pics and I discovered that there are none for the ML PF. At first I thought it might indicate that changes were going to be made then I found out that the GTG maquette didn't have any available either.

How does it usually take for hi-res pics to become available for an item?

(Update: There are now hi-res pics for the GTG maquette - they're awesome!)
