So when is the Limtoys Quiet figure finally shipping ? Seems like that is taking a extra long while to produce. I think I preordered that at KGHobby last November. Still says first quarter 2019 for release...

I wasn't sure if this was appropriate for this thread or not. I shared it over on the custom thread, but since I'm seeing some customs displayed over here too I figured I'd go ahead and share. I finally got a chance to finish the MGS3 Boss that I started building forever ago. I'm sure I'll find things to improve, so I'll probably "finish" it again at some point. But this is how she is going to be displayed for now. While she isn't perfect, I'm pretty happy with her overall.

Yeah, I think it was but this was the closest sculpt I could come up with and it seems like its better than that terrible Hot Toys one. I do think though that The Boss retained a certain softness and remaining beauty within her aged form.



Thanks! The head sculpt was a non-branded one I found, and again I don't disagree that it doesn't completely capture the age and hardness of The Boss but it was the closest one I've come across yet. And again, its better than that Hot Toys one.

There actually isn't an under-suit. Its made from Plasti-dip applied right to the body around the neck area and forearms. I've used this same method on all my custom Big Bosses and found it to work pretty well.

Are you able to bend the arms using Plasti-dip? I’ve used Plasti-dip in the past for tools, I never thought to use it on 1/6 figures..

Thank you. The gloves are only partly custom. They are based on some standard female glove hands and I just made my own wrist extension pieces from plastic-dip.

Are you able to bend the arms using Plasti-dip? I’ve used Plasti-dip in the past for tools, I never thought to use it on 1/6 figures..

You can bend the arms when coated in plastic-dip, however the plasti-dip does create a certain amount of tension and it does want to return to its original position.

Just a heads up, Mondo officially a LP vinyl of the Metal Gear Soundtrack on double disc gatefold! Also they are selling really cool enamel pins of snake, grey fox, mantis and genome soldier. They go on release on mondo site, today at 12pm US time and 5pm to us in the UK.

Hope we hear/see some updates on the 1/12 scale Venom Snake soon. Also, have I just missed some posts here and facebook or has LIM just gone unusually silent over the last month or two? Before this update with Quiet I haven't seen anything from them in a while. Seems like they were posting updates pretty regularly and this summer it's been a whole lot of nothing. Not that its a bad thing, especially if that just have nothing to say/show - it just seems like pretty big change of pace to how much they were communicating with the fanbase before.

Hopefully their cool looking Cowboy figure comes out and we get a 1/12 of him too.

It probably has something to do with all the craziness surrounding their Arthur Morgan figure. They purposefully went silent on that figure and maybe stayed that way for everything else.

I sure would like an update on their 1/12 Venom Snake, though, as I have it pre-ordered!
