That's one thing I didn't like about Superman in MoS, his struggle to find his identity/purpose was so one dimensional, he had no personality at all that made me care for this version of Supes/Kent. Jumping between present and the flashbacks scenes didn't help either, it just felt too forced in trying to make us feel for Supes.
