I think they'll Vader-ize Stormfront and go full on Wolfenstein with her. They said Homelander will be a ticking time bomb in S3, and they're bringing in Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy AKA OG WW2 Homelander. IIRC, the show's supposed to go on for 5 seasons in total. I doubt they'd kill off Homelander before the end. Black Noir's black in the show, so the whole clone thing will probably not be happening. But Butcher's Wife's Son could be brought in later after a time skip and fill that role. Maybe Homelander goes postal and goes off with CyberFront to create National Supe Socialism.

Maybe black Black Noir never recovers and that's where the clone comes in....the secret weapon. I also wonder if that lady that explodes heads can kill Homelander? They said no human weapon can hurt Homelander, so that would include nuclear weapons, but a Sup that can explode heads might be different.

Could be. The show's going to a totally different direction than the comic, and I don't mind it. Like I said, I don't hold that book to any regard whatsoever. I honestly outgrew Ennis and his brand of edginess early on. Don't get me wrong, I still like some edgy nonsense once in a while, but Ennis is just stale. I'll take a 'Coldsteel' any day. Punisher Soviet wasn't that bad though.

If you've read one book by him, you've read them all, more or less. And The Boys comic was honestly bad. Really bad. But it was "political" in just being corporate. It had no real views bar that. Just a lot of "MUM'S GONNA FREAK" stuff. I could be misremembering, but it never went past "Commie Superhero beats up Nazi superhero". Frenchie's "backstory" is jousting with baquettes, for God's sake. This is one of the few times where the adaptation is better than the source material, really.

It's a tongue in cheek capeshow with some politics thrown in. I don't mind it. There are much worse offenders out there in [current day].

I agree. Watching some videos and seeing breakdowns the comic is just beyond stupid and violent just to be violent. Just not my thing. Also butcher is pretty much unlikable in the comic and just a full blown psycho.

It's just juvenile. The violence in something like DOOM is gory and fun. Even Event Horizon has its charm. The violence in The Boys got too repetitive, alongside the superhero disses. I get it, he dislikes capes. I don't have much love for them. But you can't ridicule Green Lantern and then go "NOOOOOOOOOOO SUPERMAN IS DA BEST HE'S PURE AND GUD AND GREAT AND INSPIRES EVERYONE AAAAAHHHHHHHH". He's still bloody cape**** Ennis.

I read the comics and some of it was outright awful. Some was great, but damn, when it was bad, IT WAS REAL BAD.

I like the show lightyears better. Homelander in the comics, never cared about. Him in the show is awesome. One of my favorite characters now.

But hey, my favorite character from Star Wars is Darth Vader and my favorite from G.I. Joe is Cobra Commander, so I like villains.

Lately Mafex has been pretty good for promo matching product, but I'm assuming this is one that you'd be able to get in stock at Amazon or HLJ at release pretty easy.
