Title explains it all, its why I havent been on the boards at all. I left on my own, I couldnt take it anymore. Is it possible to have chest pains from stress??...

Yes. It happened to my buddy. He was having serious health issues and panic attacks because of work. His boss was a real ass. For his own sanity he too voluntarily left his company.

You did the right thing. Risking your health, and your emotional well-being is not worth it. It's a tough economy, but if you're strong enough to leave your current position on your own accord, you'll be more than strong enough to find another job.
Things always have a way of working out in the end. You'll be alright.

I've been mulling leaving my job of 15 years myself. I have a new boss who is totally incompetentl and micromanages EVERYTHING , to the point that she reprimanded me for not saying goodbye when I left work! She said that if she needed anything how would she now where I was??
The only thing keeping me there is my two kids and my mortgage.

My boss is starting to micromanage a bit at work. I ignore him and it pisses him off. I give him answers like "I'm not sure?" or "I'll take a look at that." I can get away with this because my numbers are always top notch. I let my work and results do the talking. That way I don't have to put up with ____ like this.

Is that arrogant? Sure! But I like that in a pilot and the plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room. :rotfl

My bosses son who to call insane is sugarcoating it, drove me to the brink of going postal. Somehow we left on good terms but I couldnt hanle the mircomanaging anymore. You can keep adding things for me to do and freak out at the same time about me not doing them, you cant add things for me to do and not tell me about them then expect me to have them done! Then have meltdowns in front of customers cursing and screaming and expect out "Customer Satisfaction" to be 100%!!!:gah::gah::gah:

Rant over.

Anyway, Im searching for a career at this point...so the Canolli has not vanished, he will be back once he gets back on track. :wave

Damn skippy. Anxiety or Panic attacks (more likely anxiety attacks in this case) can freakin' SUCK! And as mentioned, they can lead to greater health problems.

I hope you love the next job you find and make it your life-long career! Good luck!

I can't work for anyone. I figured that out long ago. I own my own business, however dealing w/ employees can be a big headache, but I'll take that over having someone manage me.. The gay porn thing is more of a hobby.:monkey1

The repremand thing for not saying goodbye is funny. I'd have to kill her or myself if I had to deal w/ retarded ____ like that.

Your first serious post in a while, and I agree... anyone telling you to say goodbye and giving you crap for it is a big head tripper.

It's like we have the same brain. Almost. Sort of. I guess not quite, but it's probably better that way.

I know that you're always right too, so there's definitely something going on.

Why be wrong when you can always be right? The glass is ALWAYS half full here. Rather, the glass is entirely full. :rock WINNING! :lol

I don't know why so many people insist on being anything other than 100%. :dunno

I'd be ashamed as a mother____er if I went around being wrong sometimes. Thankfully there's no need. :rock

I concur. I will never sell myself short. :hi5:

Oh man.... you guys smell that? Smells like ____... exactly what you two are full of. Since it's censored, the word that rhymes with hit. Wait, there is a lot of censored words that rhyme with that. hehe

yeah, i just watched those movies recently....i am effin burned out too.

I like my job, I just don't like being constantly reminded that I might lose it. It happens almost every year now. You can't plan anything. Plus, it used to be there was always an opportunity to grow in my job, but now you have to worry about going the other direction.

I learned the real hard way about leaving your job without something, anything lined up. I also left cause of mental stress and the fact that my job was causing a lot of tendonitis in multiple areas; the sad thing about that job is that tendonitis is actually a common thing for that company :slap
