Didn't even realize there was the key... Niceeeee
 
I don't know if there is an official explanation, but I prefer to think it takes both keys to start the Tumbler; one for the gas engine for the super swamper rear wheels, and one key for the electric engine that drives the front wheels. Then after Batpod separation, you only need the one key to start the all-electric Batpod.
 
Since the Tumbler was intended for military I would have thought it had push button start. Figured what Bats gave Gordon was a fob and not a physical key.
 
Here's the rest of my equipment case. That isn't the final foam. I'm designing a somewhat different layout in closed-cell PE2 rigid foam that will be machine cut for a high precision fit.
