Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Man I can't wait to put together some Bond figures! I have been gathering dress suits, diving suits, shoes, pistols and even a hat for about three years that I think are going to be great for a Bond figure. Just don't know which bodies to start out with really.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

OK, thanks so much! Will that sculpt be limited to 58? Do you know that? Has anyone here bought the Bond sculpts on Ebay from seller diver4?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Not sure on edition size bud , but don't waste your money on those ebay sculpts. This is the definitive Connery sculpt to date

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

They're that bad? Dunno, I thought one of them looked pretty good, but might resemble the Sideshow Dr. No Bond sculpt a bit. They look quite decent for the price though, even for a blank.

Compared to the bbkill, id say so. I think those are recasts of the Sideshow sculpt.

I see. Thanks for the heads up pal! Something I have wanted to see in a Bond figure sculpt is a head with an alternate hairstyle where the hair is sculpted like it's hanging down to get that wet hair look as seen at least in Dr. No.

Diver 4 never sells anything but recasts, the Bond ones are mainly Sideshow. Among others there are DML, DID and anything else he can get his grubby hands on. Most will be poorly cast and too small.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The paint work on the Connery heads look great, but I am not digging the overblown texture. Also that mold line through the hair and on the ears is fairly unacceptable for an unpainted casting that cost nearly $70.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah the mold line really isnt that noticeable in hand. As for the texture, I wouldn't call it overblown, it could be just a bit more subtle on the forehead imo, but even with those nitpicks, and they are nitpicks, the Bbkill sculpt is still the best 1:6 Connery Bond sculpt to date.

Richard Graydon RIP (OHMSS cable car wire climb , MR cable car roof fight.....which btw almost killed him)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Hey! Just wondering if anyone has the bond sideshow guys for sale. Broke my jaws figure yesterday and I'm heartbroken looking for a new one. Thanks

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

If it were a Casino Royale black suit, I'd seriously think about it, but not interested in the blue Skyfall at all.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

It's worth checking this out on the original site at its 100% size.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Nice. Be more fun if they told you which films.

Still... I'm amazed that there are 12 midnight blue tuxedos. I must be assuming a lot more are black. I thought Craig's was the only midnight blue tux.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Actually they are mostly midnight blue! Including the famous first time we see James Bond ever at the poker table in Dr. No. Blue, not black!
