Not the right side of his face, it isn't.
Bond's hairstyle did vary a bit in the film. Given that the photos from the sculptor show Bond in a blue tux, it's probably safe to assume that the hairstyle is coming from the casino scene, where Bond is wearing a tux

It's still not accurately receded.
The facial features looks great, albeit a little too cheery-looking for my tastes. But for that price, everything should be perfect AND personally blessed by the entire EON production team...

It looks very good until you put it up along side real photos. Then it just looks OK. Then you start seeing how/where it's off. Then it gets annoying. Then you remember the price and you fall out of your chair an an uncontrolled fit of laughter.

I just shake my head and wonder what the F happened to this hobby...
Personally, I'm interested in a sculpt that is accurate to the film, and not accurate to a photo of the actor in his personal life in a heads down position which alters the way his hairline looks
Craig, much like but definitely moreso than Harrison Ford, will probably never have a sculpt that truly captures him, so much of his likeness comes from his persona which cannot be captured in a sculpt.

Its been the longest time since I visited this, my favourite thread on the board 
While the Lotus S1 build is probably the most exciting development in my absence I see we're still debating the merits of the various DC headsculpts on offer. There have been a few more pop up and its fascinating to read the opinions on here regarding the likenesses - probably the most debated since our old friend Harrison Ford.
Anyways, tired of the wait for anything official (and surprised that Big Chief have yet to deliver) I've been hard at work on my very first custom. I was loathe to go this route but I wanted something on the shelf before Bond 25 hits and even though I came close on several occasions, the Blue Box releases just didn't do it for me.
Out of all the sculpts produced to date its well-documented my favourite is the Modern Life version. Not only is it next to impossible to get but the fragility of the ears put me off so I was forced to look elsewhere. After the disappointment of the Balloon Man version (I was convinced that one had cracked it) I decided to go back to basics. there was always something about the old Medicom Cowboys & Aliens head that I kept going back to. Yes it seemed undersized and yes the paint was basic but during my regular Google searches it was the one that always made me pause. That and the fact its the only licensed figure of Craig in 1/6 to date.
After going backward & forward for months I Finally managed to get a repainted sculpt that ticked all my boxes from a member here. Then came the nightmare of finding an appropriate body (as lord knows it wasn't going back on a Medi). I lucked out when I found the ZCToys S005 - its proportions in relation to the head are perfect.
Finding an suitable outfit for the body was the hardest part - I had originally wanted a suit/tux but unless you're willing to pay big bucks for tailoring the details can ruin it. thankfully I spotted ELEVEN's SPECTRE outfit and solved the issue in one - I just couldn't believe how well the two-piece fit the body.
With the figure finished the pose seemed evident - so to finish off I covered a standee board in grey card and voila - Daniel Craig in studio being photographed for the SPECTRE teaser poster -
He stands just under 12" finished so my concerns about his being undersized were addressed - in fact he looks so much more realistic for being smaller...

Yeah, that Medicom head intrigued me over the years too. Yours does look rather good and works really well as Bond. I plumped for the Blackbox one in the end and I hacked together a tux out of my old SSC Dr No Connery and the Blackbox tie and shirt. By no means perfect, but, it'll do.

I've been on holiday to Singapore for 2 weeks, hence the lack of updates. This was my 1st weekend getting back into this.
Been working on the door latch mechanisms. I had planned to just use magnets, but as the project has progressed, such shortcuts seemed like a cheat.
The brass catch is operated by the door handles.
Securing the doors allowed me to finesse the shape of the body panels for a smoother look.
Flap door handles under construction.
