Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Never had the figure myself, but, it is rather old now and SSC's material quality at the time probably isn't as good as it is now.

I'm sure the others will be able to advise you better than I can...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Would the Medicom head be compatible with that body or would it be noticeably undersized? Between this fig and bbkill's upcoming sculpt I think the definitive Craig is getting real close...

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Which body!? The DID!? If so, then no.

However, if anyone is contemplating the DID figure, below is the body you'll get and the pose it'll do:

Nice! Not many bodies I know of can actually do that, the TT can't. Can the ZCWO do it?

Are you using TT as an acronym for HT TrueType? My TrueType knock-off can do that, and the joints on a real TrueType look exactly the same.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Well blow me down!

I tried it and it CAN do it!! I always thought it couldn't, oh well, you live and learn. I'm sure other bodies I have can't do it though
I'm beggared if I can remember which, I just quickly tried a few that I had lying around, BBI, old DID and DML and they all could.

Oh well, at least you know the new figure will do it.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think anything with double-jointed elbows and multi-jointed shoulder should be able to handle it. A lot of bodies are using these types of joints now - no idea who was first however.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah, I think you're right, DML could have been first among the bodies we still use now, though the old Joes might have been able to do it.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That's just bad even when I know who it's supose to be I still don't recognizie who it is lol.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Icky! Bad bad head :( wonder how the suit is...

If you click the seller they have the rest of the figure listed too. At least this figure is out, some sites say the DID one isn't out till Sept/Oct.

Plenty of time for something to happen in the meantime...:impatient:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I bought the entire figure for $99. And it wasn't for the head sculpt.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I purchased the Brother Production version for $105 a while back. At the time it was the Daniel Craig version I liked best. I just got word today that it is in stock and will be shipping. I would have felt better about it if the suit had a satin collar to look more like a tux.

I just preordered the DID version yesterday for less money and I am sure I will like that one better

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Satin/shawl collar is a very specific dinner jacket/tux look, not necessarily common. I'm only planning that look for my Sean Connery figure, so I'm glad to have the existing suit for my Craig bond - Casino Royale promo style with un-done bowtie.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'm going for the navy shawl collar tux from Skyfall for mine since its actually available and very distinctive now to Craig and that movie... even though personally I don't care for a navy tux with shawl collar.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah, Collectable Kitbash would probably be your best bet, I plan on getting my parts from them. Long wait though!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That Brother head sculpt looks more like Scott Speedman than Daniel Craig.
