Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thanks to a member here I have an Eleven sculpt on the way, I just need to get a suit. I've had my eye on the MG Toys tux on OSK, does anyone have it? Wondering how it looks in hand, and what bodies it fits.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I saw on Facebook that Inigo is going to be redoing a Craig James Bond sculpt.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Intriguing, the Modern Life ones are being shipped soon too, so, I wonder how long it'll be before the recasts start surfacing. I know they cost a lot, but, I'm sure they'd make their money back selling a few hundred KO's.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I got my M L Bond this morning. I had a considerably reduced price because Toria hadn't shipped my last item and I had accused her of scamming. Turns out it was just a bug somewhere down the line and ML is indeed trustworthy.

So back to Bond. Got 2/20 and it's a real masterpiece. Too bad they can't produce them in quantity, because I think I have most of the Bonds hs floating around and it's perfect, at the very top of the three gems: ML, BBkill and Eleven, in that order for me

My only gripe: I don't see the point of making a neckless hs for a guy wearing a tux, otherwise, wow, just wow, from sculpting to paint job.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Do you see Craig in this sculpt?Maybe some in hand pics?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

For me, the ML sculpt is not a good likeness. I think it's what Craig would look like if he had plastic surgery. I don't have the Eleven sculpt. I think it looks good, but understand that it's a bit large. I think Rocco's looks good and as soon as I paint it I'll see how I like it. I think the BBKill looks good, especially after the pic that was posted with hair.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Well, for me:

ML: perfect but no neck, WTF?
BBkill: perfect but too small
Eleven: looks much too young, but grat likeness AND perfect size

all in all, its a difficult choice. ML? You don't want to put him in a tux
BBkill? Difficult to find a body where he doesn't look pin headed
Eleven? That's Bond all right, but pre Casino Royale

The perfect Bond doesn't exist.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think Rocco's is way off the mark. Barely see him there but info think Rocco has nailed a few likenesses and is super talented.

I think BBkills is the closest but his nose is too narrow.

ML just doesn't look like him to me. I think it's the worst of the ones who inch close to a decent likeness.

Eleven looks like him at times but others not. Skin too dark profile too squished.

IMO Bbkill is the winner and the best is yet to come.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I just received the Eleven sculpt today, it's not 100% perfect but it's pretty good. I see Craig every time I look at it.

I'd heard it was oversized but unless you're using a runt body I doubt it's an issue.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think the bbkill Craig sculpt is fantastic, but I'm personally quite fond of Inigo's take on Craig. I hope what AmoneyCav saw about Inigou doing another Craig sculpt is true because I would really love to see it.

Glad you got one,

I believe the Craig and most of the ML heads were neckless because Toria has developed a body that has a fixed neck. You may have seen it in some of her promos.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'm beginning to think that many sculptors will soon be Craiged out, he's not doing another Bond and there will be no interest in anything else he does unless he's in a Star Wars or Marvel movie. It's a case of, if you want one, which I no longer do, get what you can while you can.

Yes, I know, but it seems to be a general trend I really don't get. I mean, an Indy, Conan or Superman head need to be neckless. But a guy wearing a suit to goes up to the neck? I think the neck seam is just unsightly. Take the recent Sam and Dean sculpts. They are awesome, the best around but why the hell give these guys a neckless head?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

There seem to be a lot of bodies around, clones or otherwise, that favour that style. The HT Banner and Colton bodies are of that style and yet the outfits cover everything. It's a trend I guess, some do follow it and some don't. It can offer greater range of movement over a necked head, allowing for poses that otherwise might not be done. There are certain fighting poses that can't be achieved with a necked head. They have to go with what the masses want.
