Yea...the HT boots are one of the best things for any Sparrow figure. It's also nice to see that Jack is drinking healthy water and getting a good supply of fiber on his diet.

Here's some pics I took today of my good 'ol custom Sparrow. Waiting for the UU figure to go on sale to snag that bad boy up to mod the head and body. I'm also going to see about getting a leather or pleather baldric and belt made for this guy with possibly metal buckles so at least his clothing can be on part with HT until I get the new head.

Hi guys. Can anyone tell me if the clothes of the first version of Hot Toys's Jack Sparrow fits well with the new body from the Hot Toys's Deluxe?
I know the first version is a bit larger than the new one, but I don't know if the clothes fits well with the deluxe.

I have a question for all of the DX owners. How does the skin color look in person? Compared to the Enterbay in pics, it looks sickly. But I was wondering if it was just one of those things that looks better in person. I still prefer it to the Enterbay.

I'd say the DX skin color is a bit too tan but definitely not the light brown that some pics make it look like. I think it looks fantastic in hand. however, it does seem that the paint on the EB sculpt has a more natural look to it

Yeah I'd say the DX's skintone is closer to COTBP whilst the Enterbay's skintone is closer to OST.

Gepetto pretty much nailed it.
The dx has an impressive dark tan look.
But the EB has a more natural skin tone.

Using witekite's custom made bandana
( https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107678 ), the plastic one on my Hot Toys custom was starting to look a bit silly. My UU custom just had so many things that made it look more 'real' and I wanted to upgrade my HT custom. I took witekite's bandana, dipped it in a red dye to deepen the overall red and color the back (which comes white).
First I just tied it around the head to get an idea...and I really liked what it added:

Liking that, I removed the Bone Beads, tied the bandana around the head, brushing superglue in various non-visible spots. I added the beads from the original Medicom head by heating it up, carefully shaving them off with an e-xacto knife.
The Bandana makes the head look slightly larger as do the replacement hands (Enterbay), giving Jack an overall better look (proportionally). the hands are a slightly different shade, more noticeable in the pics than in person. The Hot Toys hands were so freakishly large, which really shown if the coat wasn't being used.
I (also) darkened up his hair a bit, leaving it the original length. I just didn't want to cut the nice hair sculpt.
