The BW statue represents the movie Endgame not the MCU. That moment was her iconic moment in Endgame. Idiots everywhere that are aloud to post their crap on social media ye i know it's a free world and it's their right to have an opinion it just bugs me when it's a stupid one.

Avengers: Endgame is genuinely loved by Marvel fans, but that doesn't mean the film isn't without its fair share of criticisms. One of the most common criticisms fans have of Endgame, is how the culminating chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Infinity Saga ultimately completes the story arc of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

Well, those criticisms haven't stopped one toy company from leaning into Widows dark fate in Avengers: Endgame, to create a sculpted figurine that is definitely going to have a lot of Marvel movie fans saying "WTF?"

Natasha Romanoff made the ultimate sacrifice during Avengers: Endgame's "Time Heist" sequence in the second act. Widow took the fatal leap from the Stonekeeper's rock on Vormir, in order to "pay" for Hawkeye to obtain the Soul Stone. The writers and director of Avengers: Endgame have explained that Natasha's main reason for living had become protecting people and being a hero, and that the loss to Thanos in Avengers: Inifinity War, and five years of living after The Snap, had left Natasha with a hole inside that was threatening to swallow her up. To be able to sacrifice herself in order to help bring everyone back from The Snap was reportedly a greater good for Widow than life itself, but a lot of fans have trouble seeing it that way.

The main criticism of Widow's death is that she was constantly depicted as a female character used to boost her male counterparts in supporting roles, only to have to literally kill herself to keep accomplishing that same low-hanging function in the franchise. For that reason, it's kind of downright weird to design a statue commemorating that exact moment, when there are so many other iconic Black Widow moments gave to the MCU. Maybe its just evidence that, as some fans accuse, Endgame generally didn't give Widow much to do at all. I mean, if this is the most iconic visual moment her character had in the film, that's not really a great sign...

Thanks for sharing. I think they missed the boat entirely with their assessment. Widow was basically the glue that held the Avengers together for five years and was their true leader. Now, a BDS 1/10 of her sitting at the desk talking to hologram Rhodie and Captain Marvel probably wouldn't have satisfied many either. I think the moment is exactly the right one to capture from Endgame. It captures as she has made the decision for her and Clint that he should see his family again and she should make the ultimate sacrifice for all those lost. It's the most significant moment of the film, ultimately allowing for Tony's "I am Ironman..." to be possible. I'm looking forward to pre-ordering (I mean, why stop now?!?!)

You referring to the standard Mark LXXXV or the "snap" one? I don't think they've announced pre-order for the snap yet. The regular and deluxe Mark LXXXV are both still available for pre-order at Sideshow...

BW by herself just looks like she is jogging. I'm not a fan of red skull, but he makes the little statue look more...epic maybe...?
If anyone getting just her - rethink it for a sec. Get both. Be epic!

But I’m of two minds when it comes to the facesculpt. I like it and don’t like it at the same time.

Love the face but at $150, this should have a light up feature. The foot print isn't very large and compared to other pieces, its actually small.
