Ikea Striberg LED

To those using Ikea Striberg LEDs in their display cases, is there a manual on/off or is it permanently on automatic? Picked up some Glassvik doors for my Besta units, also wondering if the frame around doors is enough to make the lights turn on? Thanks!

I leave them in the on position (which is slid all the way to the right) and I turn them on/off with an extension chord with a built in switch.
