Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

What did you use for the ledge?

This stuff would make some great scenes for museum displays or whatever.

Sideshow's Spider-Man 3 Red and Blue statue, I had to photoshop extra length to it, but it looks quite real and I love the lion head so I thought it'd make a good fixture in Gotham.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Well, BBTS is shipping this now... and I'm overdrawn because of the fifty bucks I dropped on medicine for my sinus infection. Frickin' name-brand meds...

But again, if you ordered from BBTS then you should be getting yours soon.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Ah, I see they have it listed in stock now. Their original costume always seems to stay sold out. Is there a reason why Hot Toys are still keeping the prototype pictures for TDK?...

i loved the color scheme of the prototypes
to me, it made the suit look more intimidating, i'm wondering which shade would be best to match
these colors may appear differently once they dry, so i'm wondering which would be best to match the proto shots

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

also, those grayish lines behind the plated armor, is that the same paint they used for painting the chest and ab plates?

They should have keep the chest armor EXACTLY the same just fixed the paint/shoulder armor. It was perfect with the proto.. then HT for whatever reason made it wider and bigger!?

Awesome. I purchased mine from an Ebay seller who wasn't sure when they would have theirs in. If BBTS is getting them now then most places should be too.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Nice tip from Maulfan previously, once I got the pegs off the arms lubricated with Lock Cylinder Lubricant. I got those suckers out. Once the fists were off, as the pegs remained in the fists, put them in a bowl close to boiling water (Mauls tip,) but not quite boiling. Hot enough to stop the plastic breaking. Not very nice things to work with to be honest. Due to the lips when in the hands. Kind of like a sucker action when pulled out. Weave left and right while gently pulling.

Never pull it straight out. It will break and get stuck in there. Now I've kept all the hands/sockets lubricated. Slippy slippy now.

Taken these in soft mode. I wanted a nice cinematic and a slight grungy feel.
