How much is too much for a single 1/6th figure?

I would say $250ish is around my limit for a standard, newly announced figure. That being said the first figure I bought was the Hot Toys Bane and I bought him recently which means it's been out for a couple of years. I paid $350, which I know is a lot of money to drop a figure with essentially no accessories,but it was the first hot figure I ever saw and I loved the character of Bane so much that I just needed to have him. Honestly I would say that spending beyond your financial means is when you're spending too much otherwise if you have the money and the love for the character then go for it.

At first, I thought $250 was too much. I said I'd swear off collecting if the prices went beyond that. Then, after I spent $300 on a few figures, I said $400 was my ultimate limit. However, after I got into a few custom figures, I'm just going to say the sky's the limit.
