I don't know if you guys have seen this yet but there is finaly a picture of Mattels Hot Wheels Elite 1966 Batmobile with batman and Robin figures.

I got the email from Mattel. I am not sure if I am going to get it though. The figures are not removable (that's a bummer!) but I am thinking about it. We'll see.

I love Batman Forever (I'm in the minority, I know) so I probably will pick this up.

I don't dislike Batman Forever as much as Batman & Robin, plus BF was the first Batman film I saw in theaters so it holds a small spot for me. No matter whatever shortfalls the film had, I did like the vehicle designs though. I doubt the 1/18 production piece will look as sharp as that proto, but if it looks good enough, I may get it.

The Batsymbol designs on the hubcaps are all wrong though...I don't expect them to engineer them to be non-rotating on this scale, but the decals above are oval-shaped when they should be circular.

The rotating hubcaps are the only thing that is holding me back from surely ordering this. I don't really know what else they could do though besides locking the wheels in place. I will wait for in-hand pics before making my decision, but I probably will get it.

Id really like the Batman Forever Batmobile...i will seriouly think abou ti (if i have the money at the time)..

There is also a Batman Returns Elite 1/18 coming:

But beside the base (like the hot toys), i don't see any differeences with the 89 version..

Heres: a couple pics of my 1:18 Batmobile... But the Returns will prob be pretty much the same except for the base and maybe having a glossy finish... I can't wait for the Forever Batmobile...

Awesome! Wondering if those inner wheels will be screen accurate stationary. I assume that the above are still CAD renderings or some such, but looks promising...
