Hey guys,
I'm sure this has been answered before, but I couldn't
find it, so I thought I'd ask:

Can any of you tell me how you modified The Force Awakens
Luke from the robo-hand to The Last Jedi glove? I've swapped
out Hot Toys forearms before, but try as I might, I can seem to
figure out where the Awakens Luke arm removes. Nothing seems
to want to give and it's driving me crazy, because I really want to
display him wearing the glove. Any tips would be awesome and
thanks in advance. :wink1:
I used one of those rubber jar opening things and just tugged with all my might. Not fun.

My solution was easy. I stuffed some blue-tac inside the glove and pushed it on. Badda bing badda boom.

Thank you very much, TonTon! :)

I actually tried the very same thing and mine didn't pop apart at all.
I'm glad (and relieved) to hear that it actually worked for you, because,
as you said, it was not fun pulling and pulling on that arm. I was so afraid
I'd snap it completely off, all the while being as forceful (and careful) as I
could be. Plus, with that super white outfit, I was certain I was ruining
that in the process, too.

You know, for such a simple customization, it sure isn't easy, is it? :wink1:

I did the same thing, except I used a piece of styrofoam.

Thank you also, pixletwin and LetoQuorme! :)

I tried to just friction it on (with the sleeve holding it in place) and it
would stay as long as I didn't touch it, but speaking of the Styrofoam
trick, I went so far as cutting a forearm in half from another figure,
all the while thinking I could somehow get the pieces to hold together,
but all I succeeded in was ruining a loose body I had. Haha!

Thank you all for helping me out! It really means a lot and I appreciate
it more than you know.

I thought about biting the bullet and picking up a loose Last Jedi
Luke body and swapping everything over to that, but I wasn't sure if I
could get all of The Force Awakens outfit off. (his shirt might be
an issue and with it being as tight and white as it is...) I know it can be
done, I'm just afraid of my track record of breaking figures I like.

You guys definitely have more skill than I do. :clap

I'm hoping HT starts to make more clothing/robes/etc out of the material they used on Luke's coat. I've been finding it really great to work with. Soft enough to fall naturally, but has a bit of give to it that you can use to pose it.

I believe Kylo's TLJ cloak is similar, but I don't have him

I have the Batman tactical suit and his cape is made from the same material , can confirm its great !

Took Luke outside this morning...and wow...he just looks fantastic in natural light!

Looking back at all of the figures that HT has produced of Luke so far...this is the best one...really well done.

Nice. These figures are so lifelike. Guaranteed you show that to any non Hot Toys fan and they'd mistake it for a movie still.

Take any other figure out and put him there and it'll still look like a toy.

This is one stunning figure. Quite ironic that the most controversial Luke portrayal engendered the best Luke figure.
