I think the figure looks better than the actual costumes in the film. LOL Crazy but true to my eyes.

Looks great! Somebody has probably asked this but there's only so far back you can go, does the shoulder piece come off to make a regular trooper?

Mine is finally on the way. Should have him in two weeks. I'm so ready for him.

Just sold mine, picked up the regular trooper and not my opinion he's far superior-far more iconic to the new Star Wars than this

Here's my Trooper. The articulation is stiff, but it's still an amazing figure. I may do some of the mods I've been reading about to enhance the articulation.

Anyone had any luck removing the shoulder pauldron?

Just wanted to update.

Couple of things: posing the heavy gunners was a pain in the @$$. The size of the canon, their armor and under suit were pretty frustrating to get right. As for the other two; the squad leader wasn't so tough...just gotta futz with it...a lot. Same goes for the standard trooper. I had to get his arms as close together as possible and had his support hand lock his gun hand in place. There was plenty of resistance posing these guys...but with patience, I was able to pose them the way I wanted. I'm particularly proud of the way I posed the standard trooper. He was the last one I messed around with and didn't think it was possible to get his arms out in front of him like that after having played around with the squad leader and heavy gunners.

I'm sure removing the under suit would alleviate the frustration that comes with playing these figures...but I think with patience, a steady hand and fearless mindset, it's possible to get these guys into any pose. with realistic expectations of course.

Why do so many people want to remove the pauldron? Just buy a regular trooper. :slap

It's kind of like the new Stormtrooper Luke. It's nice that it can be a Stormtrooper with the helmet on or Luke in disguise. And all for the price of one figure rather than two, etc.

so i was just messing around with the articulation of the arms and the pauldron popped off! by the looks of it, the glue is dried and hardly present. can someone please take a close up pic of the front and back neckline so that I can properly reattach this piece? thanks in advance

Hm...

This is obviously pure speculation, but I think it's awfully coincidental that when you pry off the pauldron of the FO Squad Leader Stormtrooper, there's a familiar little indentation that's the perfect size and shape of a Hot Toys magnet like the ones we see on the removable hair sculpt or Iron Man mask.

Yeah, it's probably just a coincidence...
