Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Slightly off topic but I've always wondered. That little wound on Murphy's forehead (as Robo) is that supposed to be the bullet wound that killed him? because Clarence aimed dead center. Why is it to the side.

If it's not that, what is it? and how did they cover up the gaping hole left by Clarence's gun? Thoughts?

Clarence had a terrible Aim. After Murphy is executed, you see him hit the ground with a bullet hole above his right eyebrow. This is indeed the bullet hole on the mask that is put over the robotic head.

I just re-watched it and you're indeed correct. It's funny because from the back the exit wound looked right in the middle (watch the back of his head before he falls) but then in the next shot it is side-on and in that exact spot.

The eyes being a little derpy.. meh doesn't bother me the figure is still awesome and you won't notice the eyes problem unless you look very closely anyway. Can't wait to get this piece.

Darn my set still stuck in UK customs since last Friday, how long does it take to check a parcel ffs.
Usually all my stuff from HK just sails through.
Might have to reconsider getting from HK if this is what its going to be like.

Because Murphy's face was skinned from his skull and stretched over a new artificial skull.
Taxidermy can stretch a hide, no? :horror

The battle damage is looking pretty sweet in the production pics . . . :yess:

Pleased to see HT removed much of the shoulder ring from the production piece. It was present on the prototype.

Great review by joe. You can tell he's passionate about the character (even though he got the date wrong :slap) Also lots of closeups if you're into that sort of thing. Kinda like action figure POV porn. :monkey3

It might stretch skin but IF (and it has already been cleared up earlier that it wasn't) in the dead center of his forehead, it would not move to the extreme side of his endoskull without distortion to his entire face.

But yes, we already cleared up that he was shot just above his eye brow, which I hadn't noticed until today despite watching the movie MANY times over.

:impatient: Why does it take so long for this figure to get to Canada/US?

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

Mine arrived today. Climbed straight to the top of my fave figures list. No derpy eyes on mine. Peter Weller sculpt is just uncanny. Great job Yulli.

Re: Hot Toys "RoboCop (Battle Damaged Ver) & Alex Murphy Collectible Figures Set

my BD body & palms arrive today, yes! i'll be able to make a BD Robo in helmet, using one of unpacked regular robos.
and my set will arrive i don't know when, as Goodshipped always ships figures a lot later than all people have them :(

Dont get me wrong, I am gonna llove this pack.
at least Murphy and Robocop both have grey eyes, unlike MMS136/MMS238 :)

and that's why Murphy stays alive and his brain is intact (right???).
a pic for that:
