Regarding the closed mandibles being "wrong", I think this is the pose Hot Toys was going for:

Well, they done goofed. :lol

Hot Toys was going for the same pose their Classic and Shadow mandibles had. This guy's keeping his mask on.

Bio is gonna be on for me, not because of the mandibles not being accurate. I just prefer the look of a masked pred over a non-masked ^.^ Think they look way cooler IMO.

SKYLINE, thank you for sharing the absolutely stellar pics! He really does look great with the helmet on, and it can be clearly seen from your photos that there's a lot of great color variation in the armor after all. Two things though:

1. Slide the spiked bit forward on his left gauntlet when raising the mini-launcher, like this:

2. Lower his front loin cloth to cover his ***** :lol

Hey thanks for that :D

Still got to find all the hidden articulation in the figure, like the Mini-Launcher you pointed out!

I will have to try it out and take another pic :)

Yeah, I just realised the loin cloth sits lower :lol

Will lower it tonight.

Yeah, I do prefer Predators with their masks on.

Wrist Blade comparisons, Hot Toys 1/6 VS NECA 1/4.

The gantlets both have different detail.

The shaft of the blades on the HT version is slightly curved and the NECA one is straight.

I was going through my comic book collection today and thought I'd share some pics from Dark Horse's Predator 2 adaptation:

My favourite part, the magically disappearing/reappearing arm trick:

Blades are twice as long as they should be on both of them. Here's the real thing:

The curved blades always make me think of Fulgore from Killer Instinct, i loved that game and pumped enough quarters into it back in the day, even bought the ported version for SNES.

Yeah that is when the blades are contracted...

I am talking about the shape of the blades when they a elongated...
No, that image is what they're meant to look like when the blades are elongated :)

When they're contracted they should be almost entirely inside the gauntlet. Hot Toys and NECA both did it wrong. Check out the final kill in the penthouse scene to see what I'm talking about.

The blades are supposed to be able to lengthen quite a bit...like in p1 when p1 got dutch's head in a lock on the log

add the king willie's skull scene or self-repair scene to see that it's not "almost entirely inside" but "completely inside" :)
