One thing I noticed this week is the eyes seem to be hand painted or at least are a much more basic appearance than their human figures which almost look like real eyes under a macro lens.

Maybe it had to do with the way the head was put together that their usual method wasn't possible. Definitely room for improvement with the eyes. Will be curious about the TFA one to see if those are the same.

Agreed. The eyes and mouth are the weakest features on this figure IMO. The eyes to me have always been very important on Chewy in the films as they are so expressive. It's ashamed that they couldn't make them that way on the figure. It's still a superb figure though, in hand and futzed right he's a proper miniature wookie!

Been working more on my wookie this morning. Was finished adding a little more pastel, toning the brightness of the lips, glossing the nose and re futzing the fur however when I put it on my shelf something was driving me mad with the overall appearance.

I decided to pull the whole head forward and aim the chin down and now I am really happy with it. That small change in the head has made the whole torso/posture just 'work' for me now. Very pleased. :)

Here's some poor photos:

What a beautifull figue, I had doubts before but I´m starting to like it. I´ll try to modify as much as possible to resemble this:movies_star_wars_bts_pics_13.jpg

Ok, first the hair direction on the face , left side untouched, right side combed with a pin:

Then I´ll try to lower the brow to get rid of the gooffy look:

Now we need the sexy lando moustache. So I had to trim:

So far so good
