I just wait for a UK supplier to get them in.

I have no problem waiting an extra 2 months to receive something for a decent price. I would never spend another £80-90 on top, just to have it in a couple of months early buts that's just me.

I'm a grown man i can wait, no disrespect to those who can't wait there either but the way i see it is it's there's not much you do with it if you receive it that 2 months early anyway, except to be able to say 'i got this now' and take some photos of it to post on here

Timcent is a god.

I liked the Begins discussion, always loved that cowl it's so animalistic. Hot Toys will be leaving money on the table if they don't do an original costume DX that looks better than the 2011 MMS. The MMS 67 is still an awesome Batman figure. That figure combined with the Takara cape = IMHO the figure that best captures the essence of Batman's personality.

But UK retailers apply a heavy mark up, don't they?

That's what everyone that buys from Timcent says....

I don't really know to be honest.

I think they come out at around the same price, if not a tiny bit cheaper once you take into account fees you may incur.

For instance Robocop is £220 with free shipping from TGTB&TR also a fellow boardie. It'd cost be about that to order from SS with taxes and I'm not even sure how much more from timcent i can't find his listing. Plus i don't like the idea of marking down a £220 figure at like $50 incase **** goes pear shaped you know

This set i have on order with OSB which was my first ever order with them but i hear they recently are taking the piss sending stuff out so i'll probably be waiting longer for this set, but the full set cost £375. The straight exchange rate for this from sideshow is £380 without shipping or charges.

I have to wait longer but it's the price i pay i guess.

Most UK suppliers are almost as expensive as ebay, unless you really want to wait 6 months or so and the prices begin to fall.

So it's not really about paying to get it earlier, that's a convenient side effect.

OSB aren't taking the piss. They send figures out as soon as they get them, and in bombproof packaging! To offer cheap prices they source stock from suppliers in Hong Kong. It's those suppliers, it now appears, who are at the end of the line when receiving stock from Hot Toys.

OSB are therefore reducing the quantities available to order to try and alleviate the problem.

I just checked the Sideshow price on Robocop. At today's exchange rate, and with shipping and 20% tax it would cost £240. I'm paying £200 delivered from OSB, and like you, I don't mind waiting if it's saving money. Money saved means more stuff!

Custom officers in my country now have so much free time and internet speed that they will check eBay for the true market value of each item goin inside the country. So buying from eBay isn't an option for me anymore as I can't afford to be stung by the tax which is around 40%. I will be waiting for my local supplier to bring this in which is in approx 3-4 months time.

And to think, there are people, plenty of people, who believe America's becoming a socialist country. :lol

[politics]That sounds like people who haven't been outside the village once in their life, or people who really should know better and are just disingenuous. You have a looong way to go before that I'm sure. But it's not clear as day all the time. In my thinking the European Union has to be a socialists wet dream in the way it's run, but the left here hate it. Of course there is the free trade and everything, but if you look at it the EU has more in common with the old Soviet Union than the US (which they also hate with gusto).

It's not all bad, some things are really good, but with the amount of different taxes we pay we should live in a utopia but that's not really the case.[/politics]

Now back to the Hot Toys Batman armory.. :)

eBay. True market value? You jest sir!

Overinflated scalper prices do not reflect "true market value".

The eyes and the mouth cover up for the incorrect shape of the cowl. The back of the cowl is still just awful but I can live with that now.

DX12 cowl / eyes / mouth, however you want to class it, is dead to me.

Too bad we couldn't trade in the DX 12 heads for these new ones like a video game or something. :lol

2 questions for those with keen eyes:

- is the silver on the batsuit lighter?
- did they fix the misaligned chest piece?

Been looking at so many pics but can't really tell.

is the neck shorter, or it's the body that allows the neck to go in deeper?
The neck looks to be shorter. Can be seen in the comparison picture with the DX12. Keep in mind that the Armory version isn't standing on the same plane as the DX12, making it look smaller.

- Looks exactly the same as the DX12 to me. Seems the lighting in some of the pictures is causing it to look lighter.
- Nope. You're going to have to mod that fix yourself.
