I would have agreed but having it in hand, you don't miss it so much. You still have rotation at the waist. So you can do stuff like this.

What I like more than the ab articulation, which I actually find mostly useless on the Mark IV/VI, is the ball joint where the abdomen meets the chest.

Some photos.
Feedback/suggestions on how to improve my shots would be appreciated. I'm mostly concerned about my total lack of composition skills. Although....when you're doing macro portraiture.....is composition even an issue? That's a genuine question, btw.

(this next one is one of my faves. Used an e-cig to direct some vapor at the arc reactor to get that "blast" type shot)

No photos of the best stuff yet. Been having carpal tunnel issues that started just after the Mark II arrived. Yeah that sucks for me.
And by "best stuff" I mean all the detailing on the armor innards. It's misery trying to do photos when it feels like your knuckles are going to explode or your hands/forearms are on fire/filled with army ants.

I really like this pic, very creative!! :clap:clap

Too bad the Repulsor lights are not as bright, it would look cool having the light jump out of his palms, just like on his chest.

Re: Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Mark II (Armor Unleashed Version)

Yeah it would be awesome if the repulsor lights were as bright as the arc reactor. Like everyone else has said, that thing is blinding on all the Hot Toys Iron Man figs, but it seems even brighter on this one.

Dedguy, thanks much for the tips. I'm aware of the Rule of Thirds but it just never occurs to me when I'm doing portrait-type photos. I guess it's just a matter of making it a habit. Every now and then I DO remember it, like in this one:

Right? I didn't take headroom into account though. But I *am* doing the 1/3 thing right in those two....right? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm genuinely not sure and I appreciate your input! I seem to be invisible in most photography forums. I'll post a photo not just of action figures, but mostly portrait-type shots since I don't get out of the freakin' house much due to health problems. But I get very little or no responses. Hell I'd even appreciate negative responses, heh heh.

At least you guys in here respond to the pics I post! So thanks!

Re: Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Mark II (Armor Unleashed Version)

finally got him! what a fantastic figure. immediately the thing that stands out the most is the shinyness of the paint - after 4 red iron men and a dull grey war machine, is a real contrast. more proper pics to follow.
