1/6 Hot Toys - Infinity War - Thor

Gosh, wondering if I should try to get the IW figure. Have the AOU one and figure it's good enough as far as iconic Thor. Endgame Thor could be cool, but I'd need to see the promo pics.

I don't really like the headsculpt on the IW figure. Anyone know if it can be swapped with the AOU one? I imagine not due to the hair.

I'm so happy I bought this figure. This is my "final" version of Thor, as far as I'm concerned.

- Body built just for this figure
- Rooted hair would be an insane amount of work, especially with the braid.
- or Sculpted hair would also be very detailed.
- Storm-breaker and diecast Mjolnir.

1. Fat Suit plus his outfit can just be molded with a gut. There's no need to create a body w/ a belly.

2. Sculpted hair/beard is the way to go, it'll be detailed but just a mold and simple paint

3. Yes to both! Lightening effects and electronics are IW add ons I don't think the End Game version will have.

Honestly, I have zero interest in a Fat Thor from Endgame. I’d be interested in the long haired headsculpt with a better likeness, but I don’t need the body to go with it. I can just throw it on this version.

Yeah, I can't imagine wanting that version. Just terrible, I felt like I was cringing every moment he was on screen. Gotta wonder how much Hemsworth hates playing Thor to go along with that. Relieved I have this figure now.

To be fair, once suited and booted [and braided] EG Thor didn't look too bad and Hot Toys could probably get away with bringing that version to 1/6 without making him 'fat'...just thicker/chunkier

Nah, it still looked bad. I was really hoping that when he armored up the weight would be hidden but nope, they were very dedicated to that gag.

Crazy this finally went to waitlist after EG and

fans deciding this may be the last Thor figure. I doubt we'll get a fat Thor figure. But I am hopeful Thor will be back in Guardians 3 and back to his old self. Be interesting to see him in that group. Would be the perfect way to introduce Beta Ray Bill, make him a Guardian and replace Thor in the MCU as he decides to finally go be the King of Asgard. Putting Valkyrie in charge as "Queen" was lame as ****. But since they killed off the Warriors 3, Siff quietly disappeared, and they never introduced Balder, they didn't have much choice I guess.

I may eventually regret passing on this like I do with Roadworn Thor, as Thor is my favorite Marvel character since the 80's, but I just wasn't sold on the short hair look. I still feel that the TDW/AOU Thor will be the closest we get to a comic styled Thor. And still not sold on Stormbreaker. Still surprised they didn't go with Jarnbjorn. Much better choice and would've stayed truer to the comics. And could still make fun of/a running gag with the name. Either way, I much prefer Mjolnir.

I've joined 3 waitlists, and 2 of them got fulfilled, each one was about a month or 2 later. They were Deadpool and rogue one Darth Vader. I tried to get star lord but it didn't pan out. So I guess for me it's been 66.6% successful haha.

Same here. But I took a gamble, and I wasn't going to spoil the reveal for myself to make that decision sooner. So oh well I guess.

with the light up chest and interchangeable arms it was the best Thor since AoU I would have bought it just in that merit(but I loved IW and will buy all the figures) but based on the figure itself I thought it would have sold out fast before EG
