Looks like they are indeed that faded rose color and not vibrant red. Like someone left them in the sun for too long.

Looking at the reflection on the armors, i'd put that on account of the bright lighting. Pretty sure they will look fine in hand.

Looking at those Asian YouTube reviewers , the red plastic these figures use is just too bright. I’m really concerned if it might suffer the “ Ironman pink panties syndrome “ in a few years

Could someone’s Detolf lights ruin it

Anybody wonder if spraying a dull cotte sealer might help or do you think it might damage the paint

Absolutely no interest in any TLJ figures for my collection but I think these came out fantastic, especially the bladed weapons.

I'm not seeing a problem with the shade of red, though. Perhaps a light airbrush coating of Future floor wax would protect the finish from fading and not dull the glossy coat.

I received 2 of my 3 guards as I bought them from different vendors. I don't see any pinkish hue on them. Arm and neck articulation are hindered a little as expected but the shiny red is very nice. I think they are less bright than seen in the video. They were using studio lighting that are on the warmer side so the red will look brighter and more brilliant than in normal room lighting.

Articulation:
From the waist down articulation isn’t that bad. Arms bend at 90 degrees at the elbows but better motion at the shoulders.

Accessories:
Love all the weapon choices and helmet options. My favorite is the double blade followed by the heavy blade. Heavy blade is so long it doesn’t fit in my detolf if it’s pointing up and down.

Pros:
Great selection and options
Likeness is perfect
Shinny
Weapons well constructed
Great price for what you get

Cons:
Limited articulation
Super hard to switch hands
Patting in pants make it too tight to move

Yea man, switching hands was a pain. Felt like I was gonna crack the armor like an egg. But I think these a great precursors on how amazing the Royal Guards will be.
