I like it. Simply die the suit, repaint the masked head, throw in a coat and a hat and you have Rorschach! :rock

That would have been cool if their aborted Rorschach figure they were working on was this Tokyo exclusive instead.

Whatever this stupid thing is, his suit isn't even that nice! You'd think when there's pretty much all there is to it it would be the nicest suit they've ever done not something they would have put out in 2007!!

The suit looks like a Japanese salary man from the 90's would wear, and that's the time frame in which the story is set (thus the name of the series).

It's from a the comic 20th Century Boys, that sells a bajillion comics a year, even though it has blah artwork.

This is the Wikipedia description of the character:

"Friend (ともだち, Tomodachi?)
An enigmatic character who draws on the childhood ideas of Kenji and his friends to commit atrocities and gain power over the world. During the course of the story two different characters take on mantle of Friend. "

First couple paragraphs from the story synopsis:
In 1969, young boys Kenji, Otcho, Yo____sune and Maruo build, in an empty field, a hideout they call their secret base, in which they and their friends can get together to share manga and stolen porn magazines and listen to a radio. To celebrate the event, Otcho draws a symbol for the base that would represent their friendship. After their friends Yukiji and Donkey join the gang, they imagine a future scenario where villains would try to destroy the world, and in which the boys would stand up and fight; this scenario is transcribed and labeled Book of Prophecy (よげんの書, Yogen no sho?).

The series itself opens in the late 1990s, where Kenji is a convenience store owner, finding solace in his childhood adventures as he takes care of his baby niece Kanna and his mother. After Donkey is reported to have committed suicide, Kenji stumbles upon a large cult led by a man known only as "Friend". The cult has a plan to destroy the world on New Year's Eve of 2000, (referred to in the latter half of the story as the Bloody New Year's Eve), and the events that are currently unfolding are suspiciously close to the plan documented in the Book of Prophecy. Kenji begins to recruit some of his older friends, including Otcho and Yo____sune, in an attempt to stop Friend.

My familiarity with the series extends merely to the wikipedia summary, though I did flip through the first volume while in a bookstore. Seemed pretty interesting if you can keep up with 20-something volumes.

Yeah, in the previous thread before it was locked up. You should wear it since Keaton Bats ain't happening (yet).

I'd only use the avatar and sig if Keaton was indeed coming.

Like, if Hot Toys sent me an email saying, "Look, we're going to make the '89 Batman, but here's the deal. You have to use this avatar and sig UNTIL it is released and people get them in hand."

Only. Way.

EDIT:

Maybe if the font was changed so that my name was in Japanese, but I digress. People might think I was a fan when I'm clearly an anti-fan.
