Hot Toys have made their bodies bigger and bigger to the point where they're no longer in scale with a 1/6 head. Cap's head is indeed too small for that body, especially when you look at actual photos of Chris Evans in the suit.

Still looks awesome and I'll be able to pose around the problem, but it shouldn't be there to start with.

Why do they keep ****ing around with scale? They're going bigger with everything else but somehow Caps head gets smaller. The Tony Stark head is bigger than his Iron Man helmet. You get Batman and Superman figures that suddenly dwarf the previous figure iterations of Batman and Superman. Terminator heads that get progressively larger and larger but they don't correspondingly increase the body size so Arnold Schwarzenegger ends up looking like a regular Joe, proportionally. And in a year or two they'll start making everything smaller again. Christ.

Thanks for the informative comparisons all. If I was a total Cap freak I might switch my CW for the EG version (or get both) but on balance I think he holds his own, even if he might not technically be the better version.

It's the chinstrap color and the face complexion. Just an illusion. Maybe we could dry brush the strap so it picks up more detail and adds an extra shot of color.

The modifications I plan to make are thinning out the chest piece putting everything on a more narrow shoulder body. Then custom cutting the jaxon headsculpt to fit the helmet. Here is a quick mock up of before and after
