Collecting for some is just having the best representation of a character. They don't feel a need to hoard every previous incarnation. I considerate it valid.

What I understand less though is those who don't hold onto any figure. They just sell it for the next hype train. And so on and so on. Surely something has to be your staple for it to be called 'collecting'.

I got rid of my old ED making way for the new one, I don't want two ED-209 figures side by side looking slightly different, one better than the other. I collect figures of the characters I like, I don't hoard every release of them. Plus, it's also making room for this big piece of robot.

If anyone finds ED-209 for a good discounted price through a reputable retailer, please hit me up with their contact info.

I want this figure, but i have to get it at a good price.

Well my retailer used to offer Hot Toys from Sideshow at a 10-15% discount depending on your purchase activity. On the Robocop releases they are only offering an 8% discount for loyal repeat customers and no discount for everyone else. More strong-arming must be going on from Sideshow.

rat bastards.

Thanks

What can we expect from the paint on the production piece ? How close will it be compared to the prototype ?

Just wondering since this is the first time I buy something from Hot Toys..

:exactly:
I have the old ED but I don't have the space to keep it with HT and Neca's coming. Will most certainly give it to my bro.
Huge mechas to collect :ED209, 3A Metal gear rex and ray, and Cain :wink1:

THIS! This is what I expected with the previous release. If this guy turns out anything like the proto, my god...
That dome is still looking pretty rubber-ish though =/
Those pictures are going to make the wait so....:panic::impatient:
Indeed.
